Anyone want an enclosed?

Yeah we have DT but does anyone want a regular steel coaster that is inclosed. I remember going to Boblo Island and riding Nightmare and how much fun it was. Would anyone like to see an enclosed coaster added?

You are the Weakest Link, Goodbye.
I think it might be neat, but the building might take up too much space.  However if this will qualify as enclosed, how about one that has a glass-tunnel of sorts to go into the lake.... (winterproof of course)  Giving the illusion that you are plummiting into the water, but rather come out the otherside dry as you went in.... ;) :) talking about a high dive....:)
I think that I could handle something like that. I actually think that would be fun. Going for a dive into Lake Erie like that and still staying dry. I remember going to Boblo Island as well. I lived near it actually. The nightmare was a great ride. I had it memorized and then the next year I went, they changed it and it scared me half to death when you expect to turn and there is a hill there. However, if I can recall correctly, I think Boblo only had a few coasters. So the nightmare was exciting. But, since Cedar Point will now have 15 coasters, a nightmare themed ride might not do so hot. I don't know what to think about it. But, the nightmare was a pretty fun ride.
I don't know what it is with me, but I just love those enclosed rides too.  Don't get me wrong, normal rides are great, but I also appreciate enclosed coasters.  Doubt it will happen.
Areosmith's Rock n Rollercoaster at Disney's MGM is the best enclosed coaster that I have ever rode.  CP could use one of those!

I just got back from there and that ride was the best inside coaster ever.
Something different other than the Rock-n-Rollercoaster, or Flight-of-Fear at  PKI or PKD, they are all good rides, but they are all the same exact thing.  CP has always done something different, or at least bigger, than other parks.  But a real indoor coaster would be great, and going by the lake (and we all know that would probably not happen, just given the cost issue alone, or that the sand in Lake Erie is always changing) would be a great idea.  If not the lake how about a coaster that would have the glass tunnel and would dive into the pond by the Mine Ride (something like the Anaconda at PKD), would be really neat.

Diving into the Lagoons would also be a different experience.  Get people nervous about diving into murky green water, with about 10,000 carniverous monster sized carp. All they would need to do is make that portion deeper.  The lagoons are only a couple feet deep, you can see how deep it is by looking at the Off-season Iron-dragon pictures in the picture gallery here.

The lagoon near Iron Dragon is very shallow....it is even drained in the winter.

I don't think we need another ride inside
It is all one big lagoon.  It is all connected.  I assume if it is drained by Iron Dragon the entire lagoon in drained.  That would make it easy to have construction of a tunnel into the water.  I don't necessarily want an enclose, but a tunnel into water.

Hmm. I never realized it was one lagoon. But if they drain the entire thing, what happens to all the carp in the winter?
Since the lagoons are so shallow, they would completely freeze in winter (maybe not this winter) if they weren't drained into Lake Erie. The fishies venture out into the Lake for winter.

We need a really scary haunted house type, enclosed ride!!

The tunnel going into Lake Erie sounds cool too!!   :)

ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAY HERE AT CEDAR POINT...AMERICA'S ROCKIN ROLLER COAST. *CLEAR*

They should do something like an enclosed Hypersonic XLC, and mabye add some inversions.

We don't need another warehouse on the skyline. One is bad enough. Unless it can be dressed up the way Universal or Disney can do it, it's bound to be an eyesore.

I don't believe CP would have a way to change the layout to accomodate such a thing.  If you look into any of the Disney websites (unofficial of course) you will see that Disney has created their parks with a Backstage.  What we see on the front is a relatively small facade.  What you see from back stage is a very very large cinder block building which actually houses the ride.  In order for CP to accomplish this they would need to build the entrance facade and then build the rest of the ride further back from the midway.  I don't see any space to do such things here.  Some examples at Disney include for example the haunted mansion.  From the front it looks like a small mansion.  If you have ever been backstage you can clearly see that it is a very large building that actually houses the ride.  CP could do it if they didn't have the limitations of perimeter road behind the midways.   Otherwise....like Jeff said...we would have another warehouse to look at.
I think one of the greatest aspects of the Point is that the coasters are not only visible, but accessible.  Meaning, they interact with the non-rider.  They are not hidden in the trees, they are an extension of the midways.

While I would like to see a launched full-circuit coaster ala RnR Coaster, I think it would be more fitting for it to be left out in the open where non-riders could view it from different angles.

Ahh, the late great Nightmare...

What made the Nightmare fun for me was that it was the darkest of all dark coasters.  Strobe lights flashing now and then, but otherwise pitch black if I recall correctly.

Oh, yeah--then there was the 'bobsled' seating a la WDW Space Mountain in the 70s.

Ask me about the track layout or excitement factor and you'll get a blank stare.  I'm sorry--was it a coaster too?  For guys in their late teens, it was a thrill for all the wrong reasons.

I just have always wanted a coaster that tunneled into the water.  But hopefully open air.  Cheif Wahoo is right.  CP likes their coaster to be enjoyed by everyone.  The non-riders as well.
