That they do a final 3 test runs of TTD right before the park opens??
When I was there 2 years ago-it made it over the 1st and 3rd time. And the ride was open the whole day (that I know of).
Do they always do this?
You seeing that is totally a coincidence. The test runs for dragster, or Millennium Force for that matter are done after certain saftey checks have been completed. Dragster is a lot more complex then MF, and sometimes it takes longer to open up. But by no means to they time their test rides to co-inside with the park opening.
It's definatly coincidence. If they could get Dragster up and running right as the park opens, they could do so for JCC. But it's just not going to happen, given how complex the ride is and how long it takes to get it running for the GP.

While I never worked on a ride, If I remember right they open the ride after they get every train on the track over the hill. Sometimes this can take a while, since rollbacks take forever to clear.

Someone told me that the train must rollback twice and every train must make it over before the computer will allow the ride to run.
Every train must clear the tower empty once and then with a test rider in it. after the first train clears with a test rider we take that one off and put the 6 th train on send it empty and cycle till that train gets a test rider in it then we can open. And the Computer has to allow the ride to run to launch the first train so that would make no sence at all.
