Anyone have the missfortune of being at CP today, 5-27-15 ?

Looking at the live pictures streamed to my laptop, it literally looks like it is in a stream. It sure would ruin a day if you drove there from far away.

Aside from a bit of rain that's there, the park looks dead, so when it clears up whoever is there is going to have a blast

Not at the park today, but I live in northeast Indiana and we had some severe thunderstorms this afternoon with periods of heavy rainfall and hail. They probably got hit by the same storm system.

I see that it's cleared up.Happy for those who stayed through the monsoon, they earned some easy ride lines.

We got hit pretty hard in SW Illinois yesterday. I parked our car outside, and got a nice free car wash :)

Some of our best days in the park at Cedar Point have been when a heavy thunderstorm comes through to literally wash (or scare) away the guests. In fact, it's almost preferred to see at least a little rain in the forecast; it scares just enough people away to thin the herd!

Promoter of fog.

I was watching the streams from work all day. I t looked fine up until 4 or so. Everyone gets all worked up man

We can always depend on you to bring some sunshine.

I was there... Walked in the park and 10 minutes later got dumped on by torrential downpours! I ducked in one of the gift shops and waited it out.

The rain quit for a while so I hit Rougarou and Millenium. I then headed over to Maverick. Right as I got in the station it started raining again. I felt bad for some of the folks on the track. They ended up getting drenched. (Seriously... They'd have been drier getting off Snake River Falls).

Since I had a roof over my head I waited out the second rain storm in Maverick's station. Eventually the rain quit and I got my ride.

I then finished out my day by riding Mean Streak several times. On the first ride the trims were off. I was amazed that it did indeed make the ride dramatically better. I rode Mean Streak four times in a row. It was awesome, but I currently have a crink in my neck! lol ;-)

All in all a good day!

The trims were off on the first ride on Mean Streak. Does that imply they were on for the other ones?

Am I the only one who doesn't think we need to start new threads for live webcam updates?

I was there today. We got on pretty much every ride more than once. The park was very dead all day. We did have the misfortune of being on the Millennium platform when the torrential downpour started. We stayed on the platform until they made everyone take cover in the electrical room underneath the ride. It was actually a pretty cool experience in the end as I got to see places we ordinarily would not be allowed into.

While at work today, I sure was wishing I had the misfortune of being there.

I've been in the park during torrential downpours. Didn't ruin my day, and usually gives the group fun memories, like my friend Kathe refusing to move from the bench she was sitting on, since where she was sitting the seat was dry.

I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.

I still remember back in the early 90's being there and it rained hard for about an hour. We waited it out in the van in the parking lot. When it was done there were some areas of the parking lot where the water was ankle deep. It cleared out most of the people and every ride after that was a walk on.

I remember as a little kid being at the park when it was open until Midnight on the weekends. It was a crazy downpour and around 11:30pm and my entire family having a complete blast riding Dodgems over and over and over while having the rain literally coming in sideways into the ride. I also remember people taking Garbage can lids and wearing them as umbrellas while running through the rain. Even though I was around 5, I still remember looking at those people in disgust and saying EEEEWWWWW!!! :)

Yes... First ride had no trims. All rides after that had trims.

Since this is similar, I will just post here. Anyone planning on going Sunday? I am but the forecast looks awful. It says rain, 21 MPH winds and a high of only 58. Normally rain doesn't stop me from going, but throw in wind and colder temps, and it doesn't sound very pleasant.

I was considering Sunday but since I'm off with the flu right now I'm not so sure. Normally I like the cooler temps but if there's wind that may be an issue.
