Anyone ever not been charged for parking?

Yesterday we arrived at the park around 5:45 pm and when I approched the toll booth I was simply waived through before I even stopped or showed my pass. I thought this was odd and wonder was this becasue the weather had been so crappy all day and so few people were coming? I held my pass up as we went through anyway and they just gave me a thumbs up and continued to wave me through.

Me and my group got there around the same time last night, the driver showed his pass, but they didn't scan it.

I've had it not scanned many times before when I show it but my pass was still in my lap. I hadn't held it up yet I guess maybe they could see it. Only other thing I can think of is maybe they're starting to recognize me as a passholder when my car pulls up. We've only been to the park 6 times this year but I do have a unique car so I guess that's a possibility.

Different place...but when we were at Kings Island last month we arrived on a Wednesday evening sometime after 5 and there was nobody working the parking tolls. I thought it was strange but we just figured that maybe after a certain point in the day parking they stopped manning the booths. .
