anyone else heard?

Why would B&M put themselves in that kind of situation? If they do succeed in Air then im sure in about 6 years CP would see one.

"The Cedar Point release in 2002 will shock you"

I was told announcement October 8th

Just a thought... Could all the extra fog at the halloweekends be to conceal hidden coaster track at the point?  After people here spotted the MF track several weeks early (wasn't it Dan?) they don't want us to know untill the press release that somthing is going down (or should I say up?) at the point.

Ahh, yeah right...
That would be very clever...serving 2 purposes. Making the Frontier Trail pretty cool and concealing anything in the bone yard. It would be a great idea. Not sure if the park would try it though...

Some people need to get out more.. seriously.. heheheh

Some people need to stop making fun of the unfortunate people that can't make it out to the park every moth, let alone every week...

My point exactly CP_Bound. Rob can go anytime he wants me since im at school can't. I go maybe 2 times a year the most recent the 22nd.Now I will get my chance next year taking off some high school in May. For job training as a operator I will be excited1 :)

No.. I'm just saying that people need to get out from behind the computer a little more if they think that all the extra fog this year is a thinly vield attempt to hide coaster parts.. that's all...

That yellow thing in the sky won't hurt you people.. trust me..

And who has almost 1200 posts?
Who says we don't get out much.

With school, homework, studying, and (with some of us) an age or location that doesn't agree with getting out and going to the movies or playing basketball with friends, the only time we have left at night can be spent settling down and visiting GTTP and Coasterbuzz.

And Rob, with the whole Ultra Violet Radiation thing, that "yellow thing in the sky" can hurt you. Tell that to all the people that have skin cancer...

I just fine like a smart *** tonight, I guess.

Getting testy around here.  October isn't that far away, then hopefully we'll have something new to type about.
...which will attract more members.

But will also attract more trolls telling us about their uncle's wife's friend's father's sister's cousin's kitten's owner's grandfather's great grandson's guppy giving them inside information about why the ride won't open or will be delayed.

cp_bound, that was funny.  but for some reason i quit laughing when i thought about how true it is.

Tear down the Mine Car Ride?I doubt that they would tear down a ride when it consistently pulls in good numbers.Unless they plan to just relocate that ride-like they did with the Ferris Wheel. Not only that-I have been on every high ride in the park and looked for any sort of markings on the ground(I even was on the train and looked for trees marked for relocation and only found ones that are dead and to be cleared out)and did not see any.Sorry to say this, but,I am beginning to think that a new rollercoaster is not in the picture for 2002,maybe just some spinning/flat rides.
Nahh...I doubt that if there will be a new ride that it will be where the Mine Car Ride sits...MCR pulls in too many riders to be torn down. Now,it would be cool if they ran the trains backwards!!
Yeah, quoting Metallica, it's "Sad but True"

Maybe when that happens in the offseason, we can refer them to this thread. :)

MCR?  Mine Car Ride?

It's called the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, get it right!

And why would they take it out when they just spent lots of money on a brand-new control system for it?  That'd be real smart right there.

Haha Nat, I was going to say something for you, but looks like you beat me to it!  Kind of like those people that ask you "which way to the Magnum Force?" :)

I've worked @ cp for the last 4 years and know the management really well and when i was having lunch with a certain manager, i think i pryed some info about a new ride from him.  He told me that they are getting a duel intamin launch coaster like superman at six flags worlds of adventure. possilbly called the ballistic twisters. where the oceana uesd to be. i have proof to possibly back this up. when i visited sixflags this summer i rode the superman and when i got off bill spehn(head cheese of park op @ cp) was walking up the exit with monty jasper( head of maintenence) they rode the ride and was asking people how long they waited. no bull ****.  i know the capacity is low but dueling. i'm just going by what i heard and saw
The possible expansion in this thread is mentioned to be construsted on the site of the antique cars - ACROSS from the Cedar Creek Mine Ride - not on the site of the MR itself. I have heard nothing more from my "friend" or anyone else that give any merit to this statement so I will be checking this board twice a day until a news release comes out!
