Anyone catch John Taylor on HGTV?

The other night, John taylo, CP's head of graphics services had his home shown on an episode of "Extreme Homes" on HGTV. I was just flipping through the channels and happened to catch this.

HGTV did an interesting spot on his home in Sandusky that carries a design theme he calls "Artimotive," I believe. His home is decorated with automotive memorabilia and auto-inspired furniture.

I just thought I'd share an interesting bit on John Taylor.

That was filmed a few years ago but it is still interesting. John Taylor is an extremely talented man. His work is on par or better than Disney when it comes to artistic skills.

I recall an interview on CP's site with him and he mentioned one of the most exciting things he's been involved with was the filming of his house for HGTV's Extreme homes. I keep MISSING it on HGTV.

Artimotive? Maybe thats the reason for the dragster theme and that little dinner under cork screw with the hot rod in fron of it.

He is certainly the inspiration behind Coasters and the Ice Cream Parlor inside Breakers. He even contriubtes to the live shows in set design.

John is also a big fan of Halloween. He decorated the room where the screamsters get there make-up is applyed. Its a really cool and creepy room. He's also a great make-up artist for the screamsters!

OldCPer (and others in similar position): if you have the scratch laying around to do so, I highly recommend buying a PVR. I have no idea when most things I watch actually air, and I always have a menu of shows queued up that I'm willing to watch. This is amazing considering how much television I consider to be utter drek.

These babies aren't cheap, but are well worth the price of admission. I personally own a ReplayTV, but any of them are up to the task. These are truly life-changing devices. Plus, if you're even the least bit handy with PC electronics, it's pretty easy to replace the disk on the less expensive models with a larger one.
