Does anyone know if they are planning on expanding the on-ride videos you could purchase from Raptor to any other rides?
My guess is no because no announcment has been made yet. I think there is a press release at the end of every off season that states what else, besides rides, is new at the park. If there is one of those it could possibly be in that.

Well last year we did not hear about the on-ride videos on Raptor and Woodstock Express to much later than now, if I'm not mistaken.
I don't think they went over very well as they are not putting them on CW new coaster Behemoth, so I can't see cedar fair putting up the money for other coasters if they aren't going to put it on the crown jewel attraction for them in 08'
Early in the season everybody said that the videos really sucked and it wasnt worth the money. Then I think 1/2 way through the season; the president of the company of the videos came on here and said that they fixed the videos and that they were much better. He gave everybody refunds and new ones.
I heard that after they redesigned the layout of the video it was much better.

The difference in videos for Raptor...
IMO, I think that on ride videos are not a good thing to have on rides. We are lucky that raptor's turned out to be good (after they came and fixed it) but it's just not a good idea for the big thrill ride because it's amazing what the dumb things people will do on rides and for on ride photos that the other rides already have.
Doing dumb stuff for the photo (or the video) IS the point of having on-ride photo and video.

I don't really understand what limits the company to just give you a DVD of the entire reverse POV of yourself on the ride. The value in that for me is much higher than a couple seconds of me with a bunch of stock footage inbetween.
I can get videos and pictures of the ride through YouTube or other sites on the internet, what I can't get is video of me on the ride. I was disappointed in the way they implemented the videos, even after they modified it.
Give me a full reverse POV of me riding and I'll pay, but until then, I'll just watch the small clip after getting off and walk away.

^ Exactly. Honestly, I think that is what most people expected from the on-ride videos, which, in turn, is why I think that so many people were disappointed with them.
Also, I wouldn't mind a few clips of forward POV from Raptor, but why include footage of other coasters? That just doesn't make sense to me. It was almost like they thought they had to make the video longer, so they just threw in all kinds of random footage.

The good news was that after the complaints on here and I'm sure elsewhere, the owner of the company came out and said they were fixing it. I'll probably pick one up this year.

If they were smart they would have an option for the whole reverse POV and the stock footage thing, on one DVD.
I understand that, what Jugga said, but he's saying the typical silly stuff that people do on the rides for the on ride photo. I'm talking about other things....I mean, has anyone seen some of the really stupid things people do on rides?
I think they should put one on the Dragster just to see how funny people's faces look when it takes off. That would be genius :)
So stoked for 2010 :]

This pic is my favorite lol.

Miss Maverick spit it out what are you trying to say? People flicking off the camera? Girls flashing? I don't think that anyone really cares. Are you suggesting that they not offer the videos because a few people do what you consider to be more than silly and down right stupid?
I think they need to add them to Dragster because of the intensity of the rides hight and speed and to Maverick based on how good those reverse pov media day videos looked.
Despite how most/ a few pointbuzzers feel about the quality of the content in the videos I think that the updated videos are a great product for CP. How could anyone who thinks the pictures are cool not rather have a full video instead? Its the logical upgrade and I'm all for new tech.

Haha!!! Yup :)
I think it would be a good idea to have on ride videos on that ride though. Just for that reason.
So stoked for 2010 :]
