The plan is to head up to the park Next Sunday as Sundays are usually very light. I'm
Just a little worried now as it's only supposed to be 57 and there's a chance for scattered showers. Obviously still a week away so I doubt the forecast is accurate. I'm just wondering if anybody has ever been on a similar day like this. Cold and a little rainy. I obviously want to ride the main ones and I'm definatly worried about dragster being open as that's my all time favorite.
Yes, and I've got the same concerns as you. I've been to the park on rainy days and that keeps the crowds down. If it looks like it will be just be a brief rain, I'll still go.
Take a forecast more than 3 days out with a grain of salt. It could change by then and they may remove rain completely and it could go up into the 60's.
Just checked the forecast again, the rain has been removed and the temperature increased to 59. But still, take it with a grain of salt this far out.
I'm going next Friday and Saturday so I have been watching weather for those two days. I has gone from sunny on both days to raining on both days to sunny on Friday and raining on Saturday to raining on Friday and sunny on Saturday... and that's just from the last two days! A lot can change by then, so who knows what it will really be like.
It's impossible to get any idea about the weather this far out. I check multiple weather sites and go with the forecast that I like best!!
Go. We hesitated today due to weather and decided to go and it was one of the best riding days of the year. We stayed until about 6pm and it hardly rained after all. It was like bonus weekend Sunday.

I had planned to leave around 6 but changed my mind after everybody else did! We rode GateKeeper 3 times in a row walk on looking out over an almost empty parking lot at around 6:30. From there Magnum, Maverick, Eternity Infirmary and millenium Force were all walk on/in.
For the record, isolated > scattered. Isolated means only portions of a region may get some stuff. Scattered means most every area in a region will get some stuff.
Anyway, go. Even if it does rain, the likelihood of a ride-closing rain lasting all day is very low. Even if it did, you could see the shows in the saloons and the magic show also (which was very good) and still do the mazes and the haunts.
Either way, the park will be DEAD.
