anybody know....

if the new 350 room motel will be open for business during the 2000 season? i am planning 3 trips at least this year, and Breakers breaks the bank after awhile. we will stay there for my graduation trip, but after that, money's gonna be tight...the new motel would be perfect. all i really need is a place to sleep. showering can be taken care of at Soak City!!!LOL!!! just kidding. seriously, anyone know?

Yep... it'll be open. Heck, it appears to be 80% finished (though I doubt there are any beds yet ;)).

Does anyone have the number on the sign? I would like to call and find out the price of a room.

The number on the sign is (419) 627-2109. I managed to find some Breaker's Express construction photos as well as a photo I snapped of the sign. I'm assuming they have been taking reservations since the fall of this year.

As I recall, (419)627-2109 is the standard reservations number. Unless of course, you're privvy to the 800 number :)

FYI:...you know servo all rms will still be 104.00 per night from what I was told at the new breakers express..all rms are identical with 2 queen size beds in them..very standard as i understand..Just a prep though as to what I was told by a reserv clerk...

Well they did say the lowest prices in the area. That was probably before it had walls though.:)

I'll tell ya what--I avoid staying at any of the hotels/motels even remotely close to CP. After tons of visits in past 2 years I have found that the Best Budget Inn on Milan fares to be around the cheapest you can find-it is by far nothing fancy but clean rooms-bed-shower and potty-what else could you possibly need? It takes 6-7 minutes to get to CP from there. And of course the sooner you make your reservations the better price you will get. I am highly disappointed at Breakers Express since it sounds like their prices arent going to be any big winner either.

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
oh welll...seeing as my first trip this year is a celebratory trip, price won't matter so much (package prices), but for my second and third trips....might have to stay outside the park...damn...guess they gotta pay for Breakers Express amd MF somehow....

Heck, if it's $104 for the Express, I'll just go ahead and pay the extra 40 bucks and stay in the Breakers that first night, too.

OTOH, two years ago, I paid close to that for the Holiday Inn in Elyria, so maybe that ain't so bad after all. Of course, that was a spur of the moment trip, and everything in Sandusky was booked.
