Well if this roller coaster turns out to have Orange in it, they could name it Oriole! Let's face it, Cedar Point needs an Orange roller coaster track. Maybe make the colors similar to Talon at Dorney Park.
I wouldn't mind orange track, but no orange supports. Alot of rides have orange supports there. I like the name oriole, falcon, or Phoenix. They,d fit.
^ Actually only two roller coasters have Orange supports. Iron Dragon and Top Thrill Dragster. The MaXair ride has Orange supports as well, but it's not a roller coaster.

How about "banshee"? I always thought that would be a good name for a coaster.
Banshee was the original name for the Mantis, but it was somehow deemed "offensive" for a family park. Cool name though! "Northern Flights" may work! Lol...
I am not joking when I think anything sea-gull related would be amazing.
That is my hope.
Color wise, I really hope they stay away from any orange/red hue of color. After Dragster, Maverick and the repainting of Iron Dragon... The park needs more blue, green or other unique paint jobs.

They're most likely going to "retire" DT and put the new coaster in its place, so wouldn't it be really cool if the new coaster swung by the front entrance of the park as sort of a "Welcome to CP" gesture for guests? Just imagine having your tickets checked at the gates and all of a sudden the train roars by overhead full of screaming riders! Space is becoming a premium. Ride engineers must become clever with the design.
I would like to see a name that reflects the history of the war of 1812 on lake Erie.
"Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead."

I'd like Falcon or Phoenix. When I think of Falcon I think of Red and Black and when I think of Phoneix I think of Orange and Red so maybe those colors will match the ride.

I'm assuming the Atlanta Falcons makes you think of Red and Black, haha

I Love the idea of having it soar over the entrance. It would look awesome. As for colors, yea theres way to much red and orange colors in CP. Time for something fresh and different color wise. If its going by the entrance they could use CP's light green and light blue in there logo. That would be awesome.
I think orange track with silver supports and silver or red rails
Call it sidewinder, sand demon, bearded dragon, hippogriff, gargoyle, pegasus, djinn, raiju, terrordactl
Agreed. It seems for some reason CP is infatuated with red, blue and orange. My guess is because those colors are common "coaster" colors. There's no rulebook which states that those are colors that MUST be used, however.

Terrordactyl would be awesome!

Dodge Caravan" to keep with the parking lot theme....
It would have to be an Intamin to have that name. In my humble opinion, Chrysler is the Intamin of the automotive industry.
The ride is already confirmed to be from B&M.
