I am 5'3 and weigh 250.. I had a year to prepare but am still overweight.. although I used to weigh over 300. In any event. I know there are certain rides I will not be able to ride but I am worried about not being able to get on any coasters. Any experiences? Thanks!
It might be tough for you, but you may make it on some of them.
I don't really have any problems, except buckling on MF or TTD...that takes me a minute but I can do it (I usually just have my husband do it, for me).
My husband is kind of a big guy. He is 6' and weighs about 225. It's kinda tough for him sometimes buckling on MF and TTD, but he can get it.
I would recommend trying out the test seats, but not the ones on MF or TTD because they run small. Try the test seat on the Maverick...that's pretty roomy. Blue Streak is small but you might wanna try it anyway. Same for Gemini and Magnum, although they are not as small as BS.
Wild Cat is VERY small. It's hard to say without actually looking at you, but you might not make it on that one.
Good luck to you and have fun at the point!
From what I have been told it doesn't really go on your weight, it goes on how your weight is distrubuted. When I went last year I wore a size 18 and I was able to ride everything. I have lost weight this year but I was still concerned due to I have heard the belts fit different. I just recently learned that they didn't shorten the belts on the rides as I previously thought. I will be up there at the end of July so I guess we will see. Anyway Have Fun!!
I'm 5'11" and weigh 300 pounds (I'm down from 385). I can't ride Raptor, Wicked Twister or Mantis due to the way the harnesses hit my shoulers and chest however I am close to fitting these rides now. This year, I was able to ride Power Tower, MaXair which I couldn't ride last year. I was also able to ride Maverick quite comfortably.
Blue Streak, Mean Streak, Gemini, Magnum, Iron Dragon, Wild Cat, Skyhawk and Disaster Transport have never been a problem. Mine Ride might possibly be a problem (it is a tight fit for me but I can ride).
I can't ride Millenium Force or Top Thrill Dragster.
I hope that this helps.
...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
I have a bit of trouble on WildCat. I am 5'9 200 lbs. My height is what is hard on me riding WildCat.
I'm 6' and 195, but a little disproportionately taller from the waste up (leg wise I'm 5'8", but torso and chest wise I'm about 6'2" if that makes any sense), and the only thing I will say is OTSR's do *not* come down on me very far compared to other riders!
For this reason I don't put them down very far, which ride op's don't like, but I haven't had any *major* problems, but...they have actually popped open a few times on the Raptor drop in particular, but I just quickly re-lower it (there's a seatbelt anyway!). But Raptor, Mantis, and MaXair are all a little dicey for tall people, but Maverick and WT are fine...yeah for Intamin!!

6'1 240 at time of trip and had no trouble. I was asked to sit in the test seat on MF on my second ride, but knew I fit.
I am 6'5 289lbs I can ride everything except for Millennium Force. The seatbelts just don't work. But I can ride TTD and Maverick with no problems. Though the shoulder restraints on Mav are a little tight in the inversions. :)

5'9" and 250 lbs - Everything but Millenium Force. (TTD is tight, but doable)
Like has been mentioned, it more a problem if you have fat or extremely muscular thighs rather than a big mid section.
LANDSHARK
I am 5'4" and around 210 and its hard for me to buckle the seat belt on MF, not so much on Dragster. I find that if I put the seat belt under my "gut" it buckles much easier.
I am 5 feet tall and i am about 250 also. My self my weight is right at the belly it is tight as a rock. It will not move or can be pick up for putting the seat belt over me in any way! I am ok with that! I just have a tight big belly, no biggy to me! But i also have Veritgo too! But for my weight i can not ride sense 2004 MF, TTD, WT, CS and Rapter. all because of the seat belts and me no beeing able to move fat like some people can and i have seen it done also! I can ride maxair, Maverick ( thank GOD ) Sky Hawk ( not that i could care less about that one ) most any other ride in the park. I have not been on Matis sense i got Veritgo. I don't want to take the chance! Maverick i can ride twice and then pass out from Veritgo, tunnel at night is very cool looking but not good to my head and eyes! My best friend can ride everything and anything. I like to people watch and just sit back and enjoy other sides of the park! I know other parks out there are coming out with bigger people seats like GL has on one of it's ride! I hope that peoples you out. Anything else just ask!
What is cs? I don't think I would want to ride mf anyway but I would like to ride the other coasters. I am mad at myself for having this problem in the first place. We are going from St. Louis and I don't want to get all the way out there and not ride anything. Thanks for your help
The only thing I can guess CS would be is Corkscrew. I've never seen it abbreviated that way before, but there's a first time for everything I guess.
Yes CS is the Corkscrew! I am just not good at spelling! My guess would be for you if you are going to to St. Louis and i am not to sure what parks are out there. It is blowing my mind right now. But when i went to Hoilday World for the frist time i called and told them stright out and told them that i am coming around this time i am over weight. See what they say to you. Like CP web page it tells you. But other parks my night. I am sure the parks out in St. Louis parks will help you out in any way then can. Because they want you to come to their parks and have a good time. So look up the parks number call and see what they tell you. If you can't get it from one person go up to the next person in line and then the person over him and get it out of them. They would be more then happy to help you out. In anyways they can! See if that works for you.
Ask them the size of the seat belts are around you. Musure your self. What kind of lap bars do they have or shoulder harns they have too. If you look a ride up see who built it. Then sometimes can help you there too! That is all i got for you now, i hope it helps you out! if not get a hold of me!
