Any off season fix?

I know this may have been discussed somewhat in the giant thread on this subject, but there hasn't been any specific thread or recent word on whether or not Cedar Point and/or Intamin plan on changing anything with the MF seat belt situation.

The only problum with the seat belts on MF is that, to me not all the trains have the same belts. Like on MF yellow train I just met the one inch rule, but on the blue and red trains I have no problem with the slack. Its like all the belts aren't the same, some are stiff then some are soft. I would wish this could be fix in some way.

Just rode Xcelerator at Knotts yesterday and they've modified their trains to address the Intamin seatbelt/ lap bar safety issue by adding a padded bar that extends from the back of each seat to the bottom of each seat on both sides of the train... looks ridiculous actually.

This probably isn't an option, but here's an idea:

You know when you fly they give you that annoying little spiel (well, I fly all the time, it annoys me)? I've seen those seat belts they use for examples actually hook into a seatbelt as an extender if you will, maybe they could do that for some of the bigger guests. It would make sence<sp?>, but I don't know how safe it would be.

I bet CP will just sit on this issue and hopes it dies out. Even on the boards here the discussion has lost its gusto.

But guests of exceptional size will always have issues, so it will always be an issue. I think my idea is kind of cool.

Read this post, especially the part about not offering seatbelt extensions. I think it's possible we might see an offseason fix of some kind, at the very least they should put a mark on the belt so the one inch of slack is no longer a subjective measurement by the ride op.

Yeah I noticed the belts are different also. Not just with the trains but also with Dragster. I went on Dragster with no problem but was awfully close with MF. I know they are different coasters and all but my friend had the opposite affect as me. go figure...

o.k. i was just looking at some pictures of expediton g force in germany and goliath in holland and they have differnt belts on epedition g force the belt conncets in the center and goliath connects on the right and very high up

why are the bets so different in europe than on MF and TTD?
