Any new music at Cedar Point this year?

Since we are this close to opening day, I started thinking about what new background music will be at the park.(I know this is a very small thing, but I pay attention to details :) ) I personally think Billboard's Top 100 will have a lot of influence on what is played throughout the park(at least on the Main Midway) I think we will still hear the stuff that we have associated with the park for years( Love Shack, Hang On Sloopy,Ready to Go, etc).

I am too old to be up on todays billboard hits, I like the upbeat top 40 hits from the 70's like "Ballroom Blitz" (Sweet),"Frankenstein" (Edgar Winter),"Locomotion" (Grand Funk),"Oh Well" (Fleetwood Mac),"Hotrod Lincoln" (Commander Cody). "Kick it Out" (Heart) is a very upbeat song similar to "Rock and Roll" (Led Zeppelin).
One that I did not care for at CP was the version of "Dream On" that was NOT Aerosmith, it sounded like karioke.
It is fun to see people singing and tapping while sitting in Dodgem cars waiting for the ride to start.

90% of the music (and all the midway stuff) comes from a company that sends the park a disc once a month. The songs are approved by Cedar Point but are selected by the company based on their own criteria, with suggestions from the park. Most likely top ranked in the genre that was requested for each area, as well as some classic songs thrown in.

Think Promo-Only but with proprietary hardware and programming. But yes updates come in once a month or so during the season.

Does anyone else hear a certain Bon Jovi song and automaticly think Dodgems I? It seems like they used the same soundtrack to that ride for years and everytime I got in I was giving love a bad name.

I just wanted to comment on a few odd renditions of songs I have heard as we were walking along Frontier Trail. I realize the "Western" theme of that area so it was interesting to hear the following renditions of "classic rock" songs with no singing, just twangy guitar\banjo: Aerosmith "Back in the Saddle" which actually fits the theme; AC\DC "Highway to Hell" which actually fits Halloweekends theme; Eric Clapton\Derek & the Dominoes "Layla".

They all actually sounded pretty neat.

I think The Beatles "Eight Days A Week" is in rotation on the Frontier Trail, too.
