Any issues for a big guy and the rides at Cedar Point?

As a wrestler, I can say the quickest way to lose weight is to not eat or drink anything for 2 days and sweat as much as possible. Good way to lose weight. :P

(Don't do this unless you want to lose very little fat and mostly water and if you're aware you can gain it all back in 2 days or sometimes less)

No special diet. No gym membership. The Lose It app and website is totally free and easy to follow. You simply provide your age, weight and height; tell the program how quickly you want to lose weight and it gives you a target calorie count for each day.

That certainly sounds like a "special diet" to me...

Edit: ;-)

I guess I should have added a winky. Portion control is where it's at.

Hey :)

we will be at Cedar Point in August.. Currently I am 5"7 with 230lbs

When I measure my waist I will get about 41 inch... If i measure from my current belt hole its just about 38inch. The fat is very compressible ;)

Do you think I will have any problems with Millenium Force? Its a dream for 10 years.. 4000 miles away. Now I have the once in a lifetime opportunity..

Still trying to lose more weight in the next 8 weeks. But its a very slow process. I dont expect more than 15lbs

I'm 6'0, 235 and wear a 42" waist on pants. There is very little extra on the MF seat belts for me. When I'm wearing a jacket or extra layers for Halloweekends, I usually lift the bottom of the jacket up and over the seat belt to get it to click.

That said, I've never had to do a "walk of shame" off MF.

You should be fine on all but Wicked Twister and maybe Dragster. By the way, try either a high unsaturated fat, low carb diet or a high carb low fat diet. Each one works differently on each person, but usually the high fat one works best. Stay away from saturated fats and sugar. But, a diet won't work without exercise. Cardio would obviously be your best bet. Try some running, biking, eliptical machines, and jumping rope for a progressively longer time, and you should lose weight a lot faster than you would expect!

There is a direct correlation to how tasty something is, and it's caloric/fat content

I'm looking at you New York style Cheesecake

Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011

Not entirely true about cardio being your best bet... Work in some light weight training as well. Muscle burns more calories at rest.

Having said that, I was able to ride everything at CoasterMania! except Raptor (no seats with larger belts) and Wicked Twister (asinine short belts). I'm 6'4" ~280lbs. A newly developed thyroid issue has caused some weight gain that I'm trying to get under control.

My hubby is a bigger guy. He has a huge chest and no butt (he is built like Kronk from "emperor's new groove") and Wicked twister is a no-go! He sat down and couldn't get he thing to latch so he got up and 2 attendants came over and said "let me try something" he sat back down and true to pull the restraint down again and they both shoved down on it with him! He wouldn't breathe but he got a chance to ride!

I'm 5'7" and about 225lbs. I haven't been on Millennium yet this season but last season I was riding fine. The seat belt had very little if any slack left but I was on and once there comfortable and no issues with the lap bar.

Thanks for all the replies... That sounds optimistic :)

I already lost 120lbs in a year 2013-2014 - I tracked my whole food (low fat, medium carb, high protein) and 5-6 sport sessions the week (weightlifting/cardio 50:50).

Sadly I wasnt able to do sport for over a half year due surgeries and I started eating like before and now I am up 65lbs again.. I already lost 22 in the past 10 weeks.. I am targeting about 2lbs per week.. I am doing it the same way as 2 years ago :) (Never change a running system)

I hope to hit the states with 210 - Before going to Cedar Point we are in NYC for some days (including SFGA, Hersheypark)... I already have a list with tons of Junkfood to try ;) So I need some buffer :D - Back at home the diet continues :)
