Any chance of riding Sun.

For closing day the forecast is very cold and rainy. This is by far not the best conditions for TTD. Do any of you know what has happened in the past weeks when it was cold and rainy. Was the ride open or was it closed for the whole day? All I want to do is get one more ride on Dragster this year, but I'm getting worried.

Ride it when it's not raining, or after it rains. If it's going to be raining ALL DAY, then yeah, you're screwed.

How long does it take for it to open back up after it stops raining?

It shouldn't take long. It's different everytime, but i'm guessing somewhere around 5-15 minutes.

The thing is, they won't start testing to reopen until there's not a single drop of rain coming out of the sky. So, you could actually wait a while after the "real" rain stops if it continues to lightly sprinkle. Then, once they start sending trains, from my experience, it takes at least 15 minutes, sometimes more. I say just head on over to Magnum and ride it while you're waiting for TTD to open/reopen.

Well, it ran about 15 loaded trains of only 10 people per train and that was about it, from open to about 5 o clock. That was when I left.

I was at the park yesterday. The scattered showers didn't help at all. My friends and I each got front seat, on different trains. My friends went before me and my other friend Jeff and they got rollbacks, and my friend Jeff and I were on the last rollback at around 6:00 and they let us off the ride after due to mechanical reasons. We got a rollback though. But due to the weather last night it was closed most of the time.
Today it finally opened around 11, Maria and I rolled back on the second train out.

I was there today too and what a great day. The longest line that I saw was about an hour and a half for TTD, while most coasters had less than a 20 min wait (if it was even that long). Anyways, TTD ran really bad for the first few hours it was open, with many rollbacks and delays. after its morning problems, I didn't see it go down really for any time and the intervals were at about 1 min. Plus to add in, it didn't rain once after 11 in the morning or so it was a rather nice day at the park.

I got there around 2:30, and the while I never rode it or watched it much, I only saw it roll back once. It seemed to be running pretty consitently the whole day/evening, although they weren't loading the back car.

Glad to see some others get a rollback today, Scott, Sean, Sparty, Maria:) I finished my season with the front seat of the last train train of the year. I'm happy with my numbers for the year. Thank you to my friends for a great year and to the Dragster crew for a great job all year long.

Well finally made the trip Sunday and had a blast. It was doubtful if they were going to even get dragster running that day between the rain and rollbacks in the morning during the testing anyway.
Got on the first train in the morning and unfortunatly made it over but them lucky SOBS in the second train got a rollback. Was able to ride once more around 7 or so and riding it in the night made for an even differnet feeling. It was well worth the wait.
Cant wait till next year to ride again.
P.s to the two guys that were standing in the line during the morning startup did any of the gentlemen return your phone calls? have a great day all

I'm no longer worried. I got my 2nd and final ride on TTD for the 2003 season. :)

The line was actually pretty short for TTD all day. It didn't extend too far past the vending machines. I was able to get 2 rides, and 24 this season. I never got a rollback though, so maybe I can get one next year.
