For me, CP was initially an excuse to get out of the house a couple days after graduating high school. It turned into a great adventure I'll always remember. I worked in Restaurants & Catering during the mid-70's. It was HARD work, but, lots of fun! We'd be up and out on the midway at 5:30am setting up multiple picnics that all had to happen right around noon. Early morning was great, except for the hangover, because we could drive on the midway. Saved LOTS of time versus driving around Perimeter Rd. I also never got my ID pulled on the midway like I used to on Permeter Rd. Like I could get any work done driving 25 MPH back and forth to the kitchen - right! At night it was beers at the Rec Center or the Thursday dance and right back at it the next morning. One thing I think is pretty cool now is that all the fulltimers I worked with at CP back then are now the executives running the company. Does make you feel old, though, when I see that my old boss, John Albino, just retired last year!! Good luck JA!!!

Just the general atmosphere, ya know? I love just walking down the midway, taking in the screams and the sights and everything. It's also a lot funner now (mostly due to PB) because of all the inside things I know. It's the rides that bring me there, but the atmosphere that makes me want to stay. I mean, it's not every day that you can launch to 120 miles per hour, or fall almost straight down from 310 feet in the air. You just can't get that experience everywhere you go!
Of the various internet forums and things that I like to browse, PointBuzz is definitely my favorite. Not only is the community here mature and wise (I know I may not be sometimes), but the knowledge base is just massive, and about something as awesome as Cedar Point. I just love the whole thing, and will be coming back for a long time :)

In fact, it hit so hard that I plan to major in theme park management and work for Cedar Point for the rest of my life.
Is there really a major for theme park management, and where are you going for that?
