That is an awfully big structure and it seems it would prove it's worth more if it could be used for something in the year's to come.
The red and white I get, but the yellow? Oh well.
And everyone has been asking for a 'Meaner Mouse' (a bigger/wilder/faster Wild Mouse coaster) in the business... This tower could house a great one!
Maybe S&S Power could draw up a 300' version of its Screaming Squirrel. That, my friends, would be a ride!

I would love for CP to expand either MF or #16. Literally, they could tack some track at the end of either of these rides, add a mid-course brake run at 160 feet, and easily gain the record for world's longest coaster. I'd imagine with the proper mid course brake, they could even add inversions--although Intamin would prolly put horsecollars on the train then, and who wants that?
Oh well, here's to dreaming!

they took out everything *and just had nothing but coasters
*except coasters already here

I'm not an old foggy I'm just an old coaster rider..
There is a precedence for this. I believe a park overseas has a Superman-TE style ride and a drop ride on the other side of the tower. Of course, Cedar Point won't really need another drop ride.
I didn't mean to divert this to a wishlist thread. My thought was that they may add supports to the tower itself in the future for a ride expansion, not just additional ground supports.
You must speak of the Tower of Terror and Giant Drop at Dreamworld near Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The ToT has the same speed and drop stats as S:TE using the same launch and car system (but only one track).
The Giant Drop opened almost two years after the ToT, and both were built by Intamin too...
You may be on to something Chief.
Dreamworld is the park and those are the rides I was thinking about. I am no engineer but it seems like that is one solid structure and there will be at least two sides that will be fairly open without obstruction.
In the water park world this is much more common. A tower is put up to support some slides and then a few years later another couple of slides might be added.

is this possible?
I think (as do others) that the strangely angled track support on the "downside" of the tower holds the key to exactly what this ride is going to do.
Now if you see something where the "down" side oly reaches about the 200ft point, then it is possible. But both "up" and "down" seem destined to top out at the same height, so I'd prepare myself for an L-TH-B layout as quick as possible :)

Maybe the could get a water slide on the other side of the tower as #16. Set new records there for tallest and maybe steepest water slide
Um, the steepest waterslide is 85 degrees. I'd like to them get a steeper one! They'd have to put upstop wheels on the dinghies!
