Annual Survey: When and Where 2004

The end of the season is here and for curiosity sake, for you Cedar Point enthusiats over the past summer,

1) How far away do you live from Cedar Point?
2) How often did you goto Cedar Point?
3) What days did you goto the Point?
Add any other comments about your summer too!

Personally,
1) Mapquest/134.1 miles
2) Thrice! :) Twice in July and once in mid-August
3) Two Sunday's and a Tuesday.

Best. Summer. Ever. Finally drove down there too, so that's the major "fear" I've gotten over this summer. :)

1) 518 Miles from CP

2)10 ish / 2 two week trips

3) 1 full week in june and 1 full week in august.

Best summer at CP ever, End of august trips ROCK!

1. 70 miles away

2. 1 in may, 1 in June, 2 in July, 2 in August, 2 in October

3. Sundays in October, a Saturday in May, otherwise all during the
week.

All in all, the most memorable summer I've ever had.
Not to mention after all these years, I've finally overcame my fear of really really, tall rollercoasters!

2006 visits: 7

Magnum still rocks.

::sigh::
You know it's the end of the season when you're answering questions like this.

1) 112.59 miles away (Roughly 2hrs, 15 min).
2) I went to Cedar Point four times this season. All my trips were pretty well spread-out.
3) I went Saturday, May 22, Thursday, June 10, Sunday, August 22, and Sunday, October 10. (Notice I always went on either the 10th or 22nd of each month!)

Really though, it was the best summer of my life. Before this season, Magnum was the "biggest" (as in height) ride I had been on. I don't know why, but sometime during my first trip this season I completely lost any fear I once had of roller coasters. My first ride on Millennium Force and Dragster, I was not scared at all. Now it's sad that the offseason is starting, but I have a whole 'nother summer of thrills to look forward to in 2005.

Top Five:
1)TTD 2)MF 3)Magnum 4)Raptor 5)WT

1. 141.16 miles away, in Belle River, Ontario.

2. I went 2 times in a week this season.

3. I went on Sept. 18 with my soccer team (Essex County Champs) and Sept. 25 with my godfather and cousins (stayed at Lighthouse Point cottages).

This summer, I conquered my fear of tall coasters (despite the fact I'm obsessed with roller coasters) by going on Mantis, Mean Streak, Magnum and Millennium Force, within 2 trips a week apaprt (on 2 different weekends). Best summer ever! *** Edited 11/1/2004 1:11:43 AM UTC by Cedar Dan***

2) Only 5 (maybe 6 visits this year, I usually get around 10)

3) I know I was there opening day, Coastermania, and a couple other days. Sadly, I was not able to make it several days I had planned on, including closing weekend and the weekend before.

1) 127 miles

2) 23 Trips

Jake

1) 40 Miles from my driveway to the Gemini lot.

2) 56 trips to the Point, including several job related trips taking developmentally disabled clients to the Point.

3) Hit every Sunday except two. Wednesdays are generally good days, too. Spent half a dozen Saturdays there, but I usually stay away on Saturdays, especially in July & August.

A great Summer at Cedar Point. I spent much more time talking to employees than in years past. I found most to be delightful. My fondest memories are of my sons & I sharing Sunday picnic dinners with the Glassblowers (Joe, Amanda, & Rikki) during breaks at the Glassblowing Theatre.

A beautiful Fall evening enjoying six consecutive Magnum rides with TANK was also a highlight.

1)About 70 miles from CP.

2)about 15 Visits this season

3)Most trips were on weekends but a Friend and Tuesday were add in there this season.

This season may have been the best season yet for me. Got to ride the rides and met a lot of new people and so on ...

Goodbye 2005 season!!!!

JuggaLotus's avatar

1) 268.54 Miles according to MapQuest

2) 2 trips totalling 5 days.

3)Opening weekend (Saturday and a couple hours on Sunday) and then a Halloweekend.

Some of the best days I ever had. My Fiancees' first 200+ foot coaster (Magnum) and we got our friend Dan on more than we thought we could, Corkscrew was a big step for him. Opening Day with my brother and riding TTD for the first time at 9:45 at night in the pitch black dark. Those last of the night and first of the day runs on Magnum, especially at night because it gets kinda dark out by the pretzel. My first ride on WT. The back of the train on that back spike is absolutely a blast.

Maggie and Dan are going to get MA passes next year, so we will be doing many day trips to the Po!nt next summer. I'm looking forward to next season already, just need RCT2 to tide me over.

Goodbye MrScott

John

1) 41 miles according to mapquest.

2) 7 to 10 times.

3) Everyday of the week. Coaster Con, Coastermania, and few days spread out through May, June, July, and August.

By far my best year yet at Cedar Point and the most times there. Sad to see the season go by, hope to see some of you next season. *** Edited 11/1/2004 6:18:17 PM UTC by JimD007***

"He says to me, 'Oh, there'll be no tip today, but on your death bed you will recieve total consciousness.' So, I got that going for me." Carl Spackler

1) Apx 380km (236 miles) - London, ON

2) 5 trips, totaling 10 days (two of those days just nipping into the park on the way home for one last front seat ride on Dragster)

3) Weekends in May and October, week days in August

This year was BY FAR my most memorable year... first year I talked my friends into a season pass, so I got to the Point A LOT more than previous years. I also introduced three more Canucks to Cedar Point, and I just closed the year on Hallowe'en with my last ever "record-breaking" front seat ride on Dragster (assuming SF gets their coaster finished on time...)

Counting down to opening day 2005, and hopefully to another CP video (like "Heaven" or "Magic Carpet Ride") to surface and help us addicts through the off-season!

"If at first you don't succeed... don't try skydiving"

1. According to Mapquest 126.64 miles or about 2 hours 20 minuets. Not close enough!

2. I go to Cedar point 2-4 times per year. Only 2 this year.

3. A Thursday in early June. And a Saturday in May!

There are a few things I can say about my year at cedar point. I was dissappointed that I did not get to ride TTD this year like I had the oppourtunity to last year. I did however get to ride the magnum 25 times in 2 days thats good for me! I reached my 200th ride on a coaster this summer seeing as i have only rided rollercoasters for 6 years thats a good thing. Thats all I have to say.

I am already also counting down till opening day 2005 maybe ill get a season pass this year!!!

Vote Bush or you're wrong!

1) 19.9 miles, takes about 30 minutes, 25 with no traffic.

2) It's in the signature.

3) Mostly went on Sundays, I found that was always a good day to go, after church of course ;).

It was a great summer and I can't wait until Opening day, 187 days! *** Edited 11/1/2004 8:12:14 PM UTC by fat chris***
