Well, I am surprised John is being moved so quickly to Cedar Point but he certainly has the necessary familiarity with the park.

I am thrilled for Greg Scheid to get the promotion. I think he has strong leadership skills and it is good to see that his years of commitment to the company are paying off.

I was totally not expecting it, not because John isn't qualified, but because he's been at Dorney now for less than a year!

I had heard rumors about Scheid getting the job, but in any case he got the other job, which I think is still a nice move. I wonder if Monty Jasper was ever considered, though perhaps with his experience he could eventually fill a corporate maintenance/construction post.

In any case, I think it's great news for the park. I've known John well enough over the years to know that he's very guest-focused and overall very well respected. I just hope he didn't plant a garden in PA! :)

Having worked with John in the past during Halloweekends, I think his attention to detail and overall concern for every aspect of the park, he is a perfect fit for job.
