An Executive Welcome

Yesterday when I was at the park was the first time this year I had parked in the Main Lot rather than parking in the Soak City. I was very impressed to see that rather than handing out maps at the parking toll booths, they had executives and directors from throughout the park's departments out at the Front Gate handing them out. I thought this was a very nice touch, and the departments seemed to represented very well, including Mr. Hildebrandt and Mr. Falfas. Guests seemed to react well to the more personal welcome to the park.

I figure they don't do this everyday, just big days like Saturdays, but has anyone else witnessed this? I hope they continue to do so.

I’ll tell you one thing, Mr. H is we’ll visible guy and I’ve seen him walking around the park on most visits. Just having the guy in charge out there really says some positive things. On the other hand I prolly only saw Dan K a handful of times (mostly walking back from the execs weekly meeting at the now famous daves), and thats when I worked there on the main midway nearly every single day! :) *** Edited 6/18/2006 11:39:38 PM UTC by Joe E***

I noticed this a few weeks back too. I honestly like the Hildebrandt culture in general better too. He also seems more incline to talk to the base wage seasonal employees.

Yes, this is a good idea. I think it should be a tradition to go with.

We had higher ups at the front gates passing out maps most of the Saturdays during Halloweekends last fall. It's definately a good thing for the guests to see as they make their way in.

As far as I know, there is a member of upper management at the front gate every morning.

Yes, I believe that is true... I was just surprised, and happy, to see so many department directors and what not... There was probably 15 of them out there.

I saw Mr. H walking around the park on the 15th also. I told my Son who he was as he was approching us, so he decided to say Hi. Mr. H responded to him by saying "Hi, young man, having a good time?"

First trip June 23rd

Along with police presence for what it seems to be all day, and bag checks are back again- so I've seen.

Although they don't pressure you to let them check your bags unless you walk right up to them...

Other then Kinzel I do not know who those people are. I obviosely see they are upper management, but what do each of them specifically do? And are there any pictures of them around so I can keep an eye out for them?
