So I was getting on Skyhawk yesterday, walked over to my seat, began to step up onto my seat, then stepped back down because I noticed that someone apparently had an attack of diarrhea in my seat. So I told one of the ride hosts, and they told everyone to get off so they could hose off my seat, which they still made me sit in after they hosed it down. My friend jokingly said, "Ya know, you could have just sat in it and we could have got the ride over with. But noooo! You had to go complaining to the ride host!" The whole incident was interesting to say the least.

What would you expect, that they scoop it out with their hands and take it with them?
They did at least cycle the ride once, didn't they?

You know...I tell myself not to click on some threads but then I do it anyway. I regret it every time.
This is one of the major drawbacks to being a ride operator. I had my share of protein spills at Geauga Lake back in the day. The spider, trabant, rotor...and for some reason even the rather tame skyscraper ride.

Standard procedure would call for disinfectant to be used and the ride (unit) to be cycled for ten minutes.

Chances are the seat you sat in was probably the cleanest on the ride after they got done with it.
I can sort of gross myself out if I really start thinking about the millions of people that touch all the handrails, handles, seats, restraints, etc around the park. Pretty much the only time they're cleaned is in the case of a guest illness.
I make a point to wash my hands before eating after being at the park.

When i worked at Camden Park (Another CP! but much smaller) I on occasion worked the Spider. Now it was a contest between me and another ride host who could spin the tubs enough to make someone throw up. :)
And I am proud to say that I had the most puke to clean up that season!!

While in line for Millennium on the 5th I was waiting for the front row. Where I observed a girl come up to her air gate, then step back for a moment. I turn to my friend and im like "That girl is going to hurl." Not a moment after I speak those words she looses it.
The biggest precaution that guests are not taking is drinking fluids. On these days that are over 90 degrees you need to be pounding the fluids if you are going to stand outside in the sun all day.
