I went to cedar point today (6-6-10) and it was surprisingly nice. It rained a little in the morning but other than that the weather was nice. The best part about the day was that there were no lines! I got to ride dragster 7 times with no wait, MIllennium Force 5 times and Wicked Twister 4 times with no wait at all! Was anyone else there this day?
What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!
I was there but we left around 2:30 as it was our third day there already.
Rode MF 7 times in the AM, Maverick 2x with 10 min wait, but every time I checked dragster was 30+ mins so I didn't ride it.
Overall a very good day to be at the park!
The sign was playing a trick on you... it said a half hour and I got in line... It was was a walk on right into the station until 5 pm! I could not believe it!

I was there chaperoning a school trip on thursday, and it was very much the same experience... we decided to do a loop from Corkscrew around to Wicked Twister and hit all 15 adult coasters, which we managed to do in a span from about 11:00 to about 4:30.... I'm used to being there when it's at least semi-crowded (Halloweekends), so I'm not at all used to that kind of rapid shots to my equilibrium and haven't done that kind of riding since I was a kid - suffice it to say that I was pretty green by the time I made it off of WT.
Guess I'm not as young as I used to be. :)
I was there on 6-4 and 6-5 and on 6-5 i had walk ons for all rides all day long. I think because it was raining off and on all day but i didn't care. I had a fun two days at cedar point. Wish i could say the same for soak city. I went to soak city on 6-5 and lasted for about an hour. What a disgrace of a water park. The wave pool, the lazy rivers and even the pools the water slides end up in were coverd with dead bugs and leaves and sticks and just disgusting things. It wouldn't hurt to clean your pools out every so often. I have never been too a water park as disgusting as soak city. If you ask me cedar point can take out soak city all together and expand the park becuause i will never be going back to soak city again.
my fav. rides:
1) Top Thrill Dragster
1) M-Force
1) Maverick
This is a bad time of year in terms of bugs. The muffleheads always come in late may/early june. If you go to Soak City later this month it'll most likely be a lot nicer.

I'm hitting the park for the first time this year tomorrow, just as soon as I wrap up an early-morning hearing in Cleveland. I was considering not buying a pass this year, but enough of my friends have shown interest in going at some point this summer, that...well...what the hell, huh? Here's hoping for decent weather and short lines.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
I was at Soak City on 6/5 as well and enjoyed it. I even did a couple of the slides, which I never do, because the lines were little to none. Yah there were some muffleheads in the water, but considering those things are absolutely everywhere, it shouldn't be surprising. You could have people spend an entire day skimming the water and probably still not get ahead of those things. Outside of that the water was fine.
I was at the Point on the 6th, and I rode all the Coasters. All were WALK ONS; except the DRAGSTER 25 minute wait and the Maverick 25 minute wait too. I also rode all the THRILL RIDES except the Witches Wheel and "CHAOS" wasn't Open. We got there 12:30 and left at 4:30. I couldn't believe how Short the Lines where on the BIG COASTERS.
Both the 5th and 6th were pretty slow days at the park. Sunday the wait for Dragster was only about 25 mins when we waited for it. I think we were able to hit 7 coasters (including Mill, Mav, and Drag) and 2 flats in a span of about 2 hours on Sunday.
