Amish people at CP...

To be honest, I'm guilty of ignorance on this subject. I was walking through the park with another person from this site earlier this summer and was wondering the same thing... how an Amish person could go to Cedar Point. How could they even know it existed?

Nonetheless it's always good to see people of various backgrounds at the point, a place where fun can be had by all :)

Disney Mike, we did have a good laugh, and even for the 70's I recall it was less "racist" and more about the fact that it was so incongruous to see the Mennonite girls in costume hats. I didn't laugh at them the first time they passed, but I sure laughed with them the second time. You would have, too.

Anyone who's worked at the Point knows that at the end of every day notes are compared about who came through, and who saw what. Many of us had seen the girls in their hats, and all of us found it cute and amusing.

I can't speak for everyone here, and I know you don't know me, but I can assure you that I will never, ever, need a lesson in diversity from you or anyone else.

While I was at Kennywood this past weekend, I seen three Amish/Mennonite girls on Skycoaster or whatever it is called. Then I walked over the bridge and seen about 20 Amish/Mennonite laughing at their freinds on the ride.

They absolutely LOVE Skycoasters. Whenever we saw them heading towards Ripcord we always knew we were about to get very busy, as they usually came in fairly large groups.

Well. There's a generalization if I ever heard one.
