Amazing ride opps!

Does anyone else think that Millennium Force's station needs new speakers?

Is it just me or is Cedar Point terrible at lighting the park and announcing (or playing) stuff in their park? The sound is so distorted.

^Nobody understands anything the opps say in Mille's station.

The Terris guy for Maverick was great! When he asked the trains how was that ride; if they yelled loud enough he would do a backflip.

^^ I don't know if it has changed in about a week, but it looked like TTD's speakers were being fixed. My last 3 trips there has been no music, only the ride opps. This also happened opening day. I'm sorry, but without Republica being blasted, it takes away from the TTD ride experience(even if it is your 45th time on TTD). Just wanted to know if anyone knew if it is just coincidence on days i was there, or did they shut it off permanently?

MF could use some new speakers, or at least repair them. The song on MF isn't as exciting as TTD(just my opinion), and the operator usually gives the spiel anyways, so it usually isn't super exciting, but i know how nervous people get when the can't hear the operator say, your lap bars are being released, ride hosts please recheck all harnesses. Some people freak out if they can't hear it.

About two weeks back it was not playing. I also notice a speaker completely broken.

When I went to CP last Tuesday, they had the music on Dragster playing. And I think that the music on Dragster is better then Millennium's music, but Millennium's music is suuposed to be all futuristic-like since it was the new ride for the new millennium.

^ Great to hear. I am going tomarrow and looking forward to hearing the song playing again.

Also, MF music is perfect for the ride.

^^^^Was he yelling "Shake n Bake baby!" when you saw him? I have yet to figure out what that means...

Yes!

2005/2006: Cedar Point - Millennium Force
2007/2008/2009: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway
2008: Hard Rock Park - Maximum RPM! Opening Supervisor
2008/2009: Universal Orlando - Men in Black: Alien Attack Team Leader, Guest Services Coordinator

I went to Cedar Point yesterday and talked to Brad when I was getting on the Mean Streak. I said that I liked his sunglasses and he said thanks and told my brother that he liked his Maverick first rider shirt. I explained that it was mine, and I gave it to him, and then Brad and I started talking about the Maverick and how he used to work it last year. He was really nice and awesome. On our way out of the station, he said "The Mean Streak is so mean, it will talk about your mom."

There was also a guy named Joe on the sky ride, and when he caught our car when we reached the other station, he screamed "rawr!" and tried to scare us. He seemed really cool too.

Does anyone know the Steve guy from the corkscrew? He was really weird.

A big THANK YOU to all Cedar Point employees for helping us enjoy our favorite place on earth.

They put up with our fat butts trying to fit on Millennium and Dragster, the clean up our messes, and help us make our trips memories with unique mic skills.

Capt. Patrick at Paddle Wheel was great this year. We talked about my Dragster onride photo before we left for our cruse.

^^Steve was on the Gemini from mid-season in 2007 until the end i believe. If it is the same guy, he was kind of weird but entertaining. I was hoping that he would return to Gemini

The Wicked Twister Crew In my opinion is the funniest in the park. I'm sure this has been brought up before in other topics. It's funny how they always trick you when your in the station getting ready to launch. For Example, they like to say stuff like this.....Launching You guys in 3-2 Blast off and then they say 1. I love that about Cedar Point Employees. They have fun while they work.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Raptor crew.

I didn't catch any names, but the crew did a great job towards the end of the night on the 13th. They got the trains loaded very quickly, and the worker with the mic was pretty funny and efficient, telling everyone to move quickly and hurry up. It was funny to watch the guests scurry around one another lol He was also telling people to just sit on their sandals if they were taking them off.

Good job.

Saying "Here goes the floor, you're out the door" stopped being clever 14 years ago. Thats why nobody is talking about Raptor anymore.

Well at Raptor we do have the fastest loading time out of any coaster in the park 34 sec, and the fastest dispatch interval 45 sec so that is why we ask the people to basically run to put their crap in the bins. Also there is not much else you can say other that "there goes the floor so you're out the door" because it fits and i can't tell you the number of people waiting in line that saw the floor go down and thought that it was the coolest thing in the world. In my spiels i always added something a little extra if i got done early and we were still waiting i would add, "Raptor was built in 1994 by the world famous design team of Walter Bolliger and Claude Mabillard it cost Cedar Point $11.5 million to build and featured the worlds first inverted cobra roll (give high clear), no idea what a cobra roll is you will soon find out, enjoy kicking the sky here on Raptor"

^I think it was last season, but I think the best spiel I ever heard on raptor. "Enjoy your ride on the Dirty Bird"

Do you guys still use that one?

Yeah we still use the Dirty Bird, and we also use "enjoy your ride on the Nerdy Bird, because for our employee ride night theme was nerds. We just added so many things this year like, "this ride is sooooooooo green, it made the ninja turtles angry, in fact there were green with envy", also "this ride is so green, Crayola wanted to name a crayon after it but they didn't have a color green enough"
