I do not believe that I have read this anywhere, but have they tested MF with more than one train yet? Thanks!

Good question. I would assume that they would, to make sure they've got the timing right on the dispatch interval (which I do know is a little shorter than anticipated).

Does that mean a mid-course trim? *shudder*
I doubt it, they will just have to adjust their dispatch times.
I seriously doubt they will put mid-course brakes on *KOCK ON WOOD*. They probably just adjust their dispatch times, cause they dont have to worry that much about midcourse brakes, if you think about it, one train (at least) will be running the course or going up the hill, another in the loading station, and possibly one at the end of the course or in the brakes or unloading station, and if they had a problem in the loading station, they can keep one train in the un-loading station, and another in the brakes at the end of the ride, so...BOOM! There is a 3rd block technicly. That might be what they had in mind all along, no midcourse trims so they use separate stations to add another block and increase the amount of people the ride can handle.

One question, where would they put a midcourse? There aren't really any places to put it.

Bart Simpson: Hell yeah.
there cant be a midcourse brake, at least one that could stop the train... somewhatchewy summed it up nicely, there are already 3 blocks on the ride and it will work, as was said in one of these debates months ago, cedar point would not spend so much $$ on a coaster without having every possible scenario figured out. it is all planned, everything is fine and dandy (i hope)
There are *four* blocks on Millennium Force, which is the absolute minimum for running three trains.
The first block is the lift; the second is the entire ride through the safety brakes uptrack of the unloading station; the third block is the unloading station, and the fourth is the loading station. Assuming, of course, that they didn't slip in an extra safety brake they didn't tell us about. This means that *while* one train is climbing the lift, the other two trains need to move into the two stations, because the safety brake *must* be clear before the train drops off the lift. The good thing about this setup is that if they miss interval, all ride action can stop fairly easily, as there are three stopping points right in a line at the station. If the ride is a little shorter than they anticipated, then it means we'll just spend more seconds sitting on that back brake.

More seconds sitting on that back brake... yelling down at the people in the queues how awesome the ride truly was.
Or maybe we'll be just catching our breath.

Just wanted to let you know they had 2 cars running today the blue and the red at the same time so its only a matter or time until the third isout there too.
The mention of sitting on that back brake reminds me of vortex. The must of planned that ride slowly because they have those heavy midcoarse and the long ending brakes.
Amazing how the word "mid-course" caused everyone's blood pressure/heart rate to increase a bit. :)
couldn't they just take out the second hill and put a mid-course there?

Why would you want to do that? Frankly it would be better to have MORE hills to bleed off speed if you had to. Personally I like the pace of the thing already!
Bottom of first drop: 92. Approach to third hill through tunnel: about 70. Approach to final turn: mid 40's. That will be the bunny hop of the year.

I was joking, why would they want to rip out a 180 foot tall hill to replace it with a block break. That is like taking out all the inversions on raptor and putting in flat track and trims
40s over a BUNNY HILL?! I can feel my stomach having fights with my heel already!
40s over a bunny hill?! Wow. It will be like all of Earth's gravity has been turned off. I hope we are strapped in tight..;)
