Alcohol around Hotel Breakers?

Can you drink by the pool at Hotel Breakers?

What areas are okay to drink at, and not okay to drink at?

I just rather be in the right then in the wrong.

I have never had a problem with bringing a couple of drinks to the pool area.

Just don't bring a glass container in the pool area.

Beer and golf Thursday thru Monday, Cedar Point & beer, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?

Yeahh I have to remember the no-glass thing. Our last hotel had that rule also.

Some beer they don't even make in a can at least around here. Boo hoo..guess I will live right? Haha

Then drinking champagne out of a plastic cup....ohh yeah high stylin.

They started selling beer at the resort pools from portable beer wagons this year, a step in the right direction.

They should build a permanent tiki bar at the Breakers East pool, along with a DJ or live band at certain times of the day.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

For the price of the hotel I think there should be "non-stop action". They have the potential to keep people on-point their entire trip if they provide enough entertainment / attractions.

But you don't want people hanging out at the pool rather than in the park spending money.

I think he might have been referring to after the park closes. And yes, it would be fun to have a bar and a band at the Breakers East pool.

The one problem with having a band after the park closes is the people upstairs trying to sleep. I will agree that the park needs to come up with something to do "after-hours" but without disturbing those guests who don't want to do anything.

What difference does it make if they're spending money in the park or at the pool?

Just that there is a bigger temptation to buy stuff in the park than laying around the pool. You're not constantly walking by Happy Friar, Gourmet Pretzel and Cheese on a Stick while in the pool.

Yes, either way the park would be getting the money, but I would imagine that people in the park would spend more than those at the pool.

My friends and I where drinking at the big hot tub, this past May, the guard said not have it in the water other than that I don't think they care. We always enjoying several adult beverages after the park closes I just always pour mine in a regular cup just to not be so obvious. Also a nice little flask or bourbon goes a long way in the park too.

Well then...

"With the exception of special diet/need items (which may be kept in a small cooler), outside food and beverages are not allowed in the park. Individual bottles of un-opened water may be brought into the park. "

I won't tell though.

They could just play some ambient down-tempo kind of music. Something you can talk over, yet enjoy some drinks to.

Alcohol on point is expensive and would just give them more profit.

Last year I brought alcohol in to CP, but I am not there to get drunk really at the park. It is a family environment and the last thing I want to do is reek like liquor and beer next to a family.

How late is the pool open at Hotel Breakers? There are 3 of them....and we might not get out of the park until 10:45 on a night that it closes at 10. Then we go grab some food and what not..might not be until midnight that we can get to the pool.

The old hotel we stayed in before off point (Comfort Inn) had a poolside tiki bar which was open till 2:30, and the pool closed at 11. The bar being next to the pool though basically kept the pool open until 2:30...you couldn't beat that.

I'm talking about a tiki bar and entertainment during the day, when they can create a fun, party atmosphere.

Most people at the hotel pool are there enjoying the pool, and they are not thinking of going to the park anytime soon. Rght now there is almost no place for them to spend anything at the pool. That's the reason for the beer sales this year.

As Jeff said, who cares if they spend money in the park or at the pool. Actually, I bet many adults would spend more money per hour at a pool bar with entertainment then they would in the park. Give them entertainment and they will stay and spend.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

If you could create equal teenage / children entertainment.

A supervised kiddie pool at night so the parents can feel a little relaxed by the pool.
