Alarm after launch

I searched through archived forums and could not find the answer to my question. After the train initially launched and gets ready to decend the front spike there is an alarm that sounds. My first thought was that it was to warn the crew that it was coming back through the station. Then I realized that it only buzzed on that first pass. It does not seem logical to me that it is to warn of the passing train because it goes once. What is this buzzer for?

Is this 'alarm' followed by the words 'welcome to wicked twister' by any chance?

Think it may just be the beginning of the recorded announcement you are hearing.

'Welcome to Alaska!'

"Alaska?? Nobody said we were going to Alaska!!"

It could be the ending part of the spiel/music. The recording continues even though the train has already launched.

"If it doesn't shake, it will break." I remember someone on here saying that one time and just thought i would quote them.

That's the end of the music. It's the end of the song "The Winner" by The Crystal Method.

Makes sense. I have never heard the full song. It just corresonds so well with the train getting ready to come back down the front spike.

It is an awkward sound...but speaking of real alarms I recall many times last year a wierd siren would sound off sometimes when it would have its nightly breakdown. It was kind of like those British police sirens with the 2 alternating tones. Anybody remember this?

a wierd siren would sound off sometimes

That is the warning horn to let the crew know that the train is being moved.

Not to knock you at all Rob, but that doesn't warn us of the train moving. It's the light curtians that make that noise, when the ride is reset or powered on they do that. Also when the ride is moving or enabled and something breaks a light curtian, the one that was broken beeps. The only warning of the train being moved in manual is the op saying "Clear" and in auto mode, the brakes and contacts lifting up.

Yeah, the weird siren that he's referring to is just the end of the song... though the actual end is a faint techno blippy thingy right after the siren.
