What is the difference between floater and ejector air?
Favorite coaster: Millennium Force
Favorite flat: maXair
Floater air lifts you gently out of your seat and you sort of hover above your seat. Ejector air slams you up against the lap bar and it feels much more aggressive.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
For instance; Millennium provides you with some wonderful floater air...on the hills between tunnels. Magnum, on the other hand, provides one's thighs with oodles of ejector air on the final small hills on the homestretch.
Promoter of fog.
Floater air is what makes coasters like Millennium Force and Apollo's Chariot so appealing to me. That and just how comfortably smooth the rides are.
That awesome floater air on MF second hill is pure bliss to me. I want a pillow for the ejector air on Magnum's bunny hops.
I can't believe I'm going to say this on Point Buzz but El Toro at SF in NJ has the most amazing ejector air of any coaster I've ridden. Your butt doesn't make contact with the seat from the time you go over the first drop until you hit the intense twister finale. That is the only kind thing I'll say about SF as I don't like the parks.
Toro would have been amazing if it didn't have one of the most painful lap bar designs ever. Instead of enjoying the airtime, I was bracing myself and hoping it would end.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Agreed. I enjoyed it up till the twister ending. The WORST part of ET is if the attendants staple you. Not sure if they still do that, only went once last year to compare Dragster to Kingda Ka. Maybe I'm just too old but that slamming back & forth in quick succession I'm not a fan of. Partly why I don't ride Maverick more often even tho I love Mav!
