"Will you sprinkle my fries?"
Ride manufacturers don't set age limits for their rides...it's all about body size and the forces inflicted upon them.

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Generally age isn't a factor that limits someone from riding a coaster, unless they are shorter than the recommended height requirement and are under the age of 18...once they are 18 they can still ride as long as it is safe for them. I'm pretty sure that a little person could ride MF, but not Mantis for obvious reasons.
As a person who measured guests officially at the park and issued writst bands indicating height, I can dispell this roumer. You must be the height requrement for a ride regardles of your age. You can be a 25 year old little person, but still are not allowed to ride any rides that you are not tall enough for. Every height restriction is for safety.
On the other hand, if you are taller than the height limit for some rides such as kiddy rides, you can get a pass which allows you to ride some of them under certain circumstances. People who are allowed to ride kiddy rides who are too tall include the mentally handicapped, children who are extrodanarily tall for their age, or parents whose children are terrified of riding alone.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE
Cyclops in Wisconsin Dells. It was several years ago.Not sure if it is still the case or not. But there was a sign on the queue for back car stating you needed to be 18 to ride. I was curious until I sat in it. I got off understanding why! I have never been catapulted out of my seat that bad. It had the old style lap bars(classic PTC). After just one ride,it felt as though someone hit me across my upper legs with a baseball bat!
