After Prom at CP

Does anyone know how busy CP get's on After Prom day (May 19th)
Don't schools all have their proms on different days? ;) Or is that just a crazy upstate New York thing? Does Ohio have a "Prom Day" or something?

Yeah, we have ours on April 26th, go figure. I'm not going either, you know why? The music they play at our school dances is just horrible. I'm going to the Afterprom where all the fun is, but not the lame prom. Now if only CP was open the 27th...:)

From working in Group Sales last year, I can tell you that there really isn't a specific "post-prom" day... Though, if you think about it, most schools have a prom on a Friday or Saturday night, so their post prom would be over the weekend, which is busy anyway.

We had our prom on April 13th...and after prom usually starts at Midnight-ish. At least ours did...
My wife's prom was last year on Memorial Day weekend. CP was surprisingly not busy the whole weekend we were up there either, with it being the "first" holiday of the summer.

If memory serves me right, I think I remember Memorial day weekend last year was very cold compared to memorial day weekends I've known in the past. I ran in to a friend that weekend and he was like "Brrrrrrrrr." That might be why the attendance was low that weekend.

Yes Flisk, you are correct that the weather was a bit chilly. It was in the 60's and sunny, which still made very pleasant days. I remember that there were virtual walk-ons on most of the coasters including Millenium Force.

Last year, I went to a Staind concert on Memorial Day weekend, and then after 3 more days of school, we got out just in time for my 2nd CoasterMania. Then the next weekend I got to go to Ozzfest...Oh that was a sweet beginning to a summer.

Ahh the memories from my prom weekend at CP. The weekend I first started counting my Magnum rides. The weekend where I got my first season pass. The weekend that I stayed in Sandusky for the first time. The weekend that cheese got thrown on people's cars. I could go on forever.
Last year my school's prom was the day before opening day. I was extremely tired when I got home from CP. :) This year my school's prom is on May 10th and cops are giving breathalyzers at the door. I was thinking about going to CP after prom, but I decided not to because I'm going on opening day which is 5 days before.

I'm doing the Prom/CP thing this year :). Jon "FLCoasterRider" is flying up, we're hitting prom on Saturday the 4th, driving to CP, getting there around 5 am, getting a few hours of shut eye, then hitting the rails! What fun, what fun :)
