Does anybody know where I would be able to find an aerial photo of the entire park, either taken by an plane flying over, or something of that nature (chopper, blimp, etc.)?

Hmm... according to these pictures, it would appear that...

Cedar Point does not have a space problem.

Joe, That's a great find. Awsome photo. Everyone should check that one out ! I could look at that for hours. However, that fly-over was done on Mar 31, 1995 :(
They could be doing another fly-over very soon. About every 5 years, I thought ?

I keep an eye on eBay auctions (search cedar point) and there are some great old postcards with fantastic aerial views. Not current, but it's fun to look at them and see all the differences.

I really enjoy looking at old brochures too. They're not photos but it is really neat to see the way the park has grown over the years. Ebay often has brochure's for sale and several websites have a c9ouple of them up from the 70's and some recent ones as well.

I posted that Terraserver link a long time ago. See: http://www.guidetothepoint.com/thepoint/cpplace/thread.asp?ForumID=1&TopicID=1485

Area 51 is... Cedar Point?

I have well over 100 brochures in my collection. If I ever get time to come up for air, they'll be on my site.

The same goes for my historical video. The collection of film and video dates back to the 50's, some of which was used for the PBS documentary "Cedar Point Memories"

I remember a long thread about terra server over on Coasterbuzz. I didn't have the energy to go look it up and give proper credit to the original poster. Sorry to steal your glory Seven :)

Wait a minute!! The date says that this fly-by was done in may 1995. But, after clicking around a bit, Mantis (or should I say Banshee) is clearly visable! I thought its first season was 1996. What's the deal?

Different grids were taken at different times. The grid with Mantis was actually taken March 31, 1997.

I seen a site with pics of CP from a plane, and if I remembered the Address, I'd tell ya.

Yeah, they (conveniently) split the park in half. Notice the deterioration of the docks in 1997 compared to 1995. It would be nice if they had the whole park, but oh well.
