A&E Top Ten

Millennium Force was rated number 1 on A&E's top ten coasters of the new Millennium. You can watch it on Saturday July 22 on A&E. Read more about this at cedarpoint.com.

"Top 10" roller coaster shows are always bogus because no two people would ever agree on a top 10, much less the entire country. I will still watch it, though.

I must admit, MANY MANY folks agree on a certian 310 foot coaster being #1!

BINGO, I just hope they edited the show and they get CP's admission price right this time around...they said it was $49 the last show they aired, hopefully CP jumped on that and got them to change it and air it again.

What I'm interested in seeing is NAPHA's ranks for the next year. If it's anything like my personal list, Millenium Force will rule that, too.

Does ACE rank coasters? If so, where can I find a listing of the most recent? Same for NAPHA. I'd like to take another look at those. (I believe I saw NAPHA's list on a Discovery Channel show at the beginning of this summer.)

My Americast guide says it will be on 11.00 P.M.Eastern time.

I checked too, but on both the TV Guide and my on-screen guide, it says that the Top Ten for the 22nd will be on spas and resorts, not rollercoasters.

Just checked the CP news release, and they changed the date info...it airs on Aug. 19. Damn...was looking forward to it tomorrow.

thanks jeff :) I actually DID read it today, I was also looking forward to seeing is tomorrow, oh well!

I didn't notice it came on until #4 so I taped everything after that, I plan on taping the whole thing when it comes on in August.

Anyone Notice Magnum was no where on that list. Seems like now that Millennium Force is out everyone has forgot Magnum XL-200. . Also my is Beast and SOB on there. They are 2 different coasters. Is that fair? Some of these Shouldn't even be up there. But I guess they didn't want to put more than 1 coaster from the same park.

I guess I can't appreciate Magnum, being that I did Millenium Force before it. First thing in the morning: MF. About 5:00: Magnum.

I can surely see how Magnum could get lost in the shuffle.

Another strange note. Earlier this season, a Discovery.com poll was taken to for the best coaster, steel or wood. Magnum got #1, and Kennywood's Thunderbolt got #2... both of the coasters weren't on the list. Interesting.

That's last year's list. But, when Discovery.com took a poll during the "Thrills, Chills, & Spills" (I think) Marathon at the beginning of this season, it came out...

Strange, that. Really strange. I love Millenium Force, and certainly think it should be #1, but those two *certainly* deserve to be on the list, too.
