I havent been to CP in about 8 years. We are going next Wednesday (5/31/06).
Im looking for some general advice or guideline so my trip will be as efficient as possible.
i.e. what to start, what rides are the best, what rides might have less wait time at a certain time during the day, etc.
Thanks aot.
If you're looking for coaster riding, then I'd look here:

It's a little outdated (No Top Thrill Dragster), but I still think it's a pretty efficient way to move around the park.

Remember that, that was made in 2002 BEFORE TTD (Top Thrill Dragster) came out.
I would recommend Millennium Force or TTD first, just to get them out of the way.
I havn't been to CedarPoint sence the opening year of TTD so I don't know how long the lines are now but last time I was there we rushed to TTD right when the park opened and we still had to wait a good 2 and 1/2 hours.
Make sure you plan on going to the restroom after each ride because you will have to wait in line for so long of a time.
Millennium Force would be a great ride to do first, but if you wanted to something else first you could move on to any of the other great coasters that are running with little to no lines. Sometimes you can hop on TTD in the evening before closing with smaller lines, so I'd save that one.

That guide was also before they started pulling the "less popular rides open at 11" crap.
And before seatbelts on Corkscrew.
My general advice is to ride either MF or Dragster first and then whichever one you don't do, ride last. Of course Dragster will probably break and not be running at the end of the night, so you might want to ride that first if you see it running.

Sounds like steeldude is in for a rotten time. Maybe your advice should have been to go to a different amusement park.
Nah, as long as there's Magnum, I'd still rather go to CP than anywhere else. :)
But I stand by what I said about Dragster and their decision to open some rides at at 11. They both are pretty crappy.

I forgot about that 11am opening. Hopefully it will be lifted in the summer months. In that case, Dragster or Millennium should be the ones you decide on, but if Dragster is closed don't wait. Usually it takes too long for it to open in the morning (if its broken) and it usually isn't worth the wait.
Thrills Around the Corner!
I usually jump on the RAPTOR first and go to the Wicked Twister, and then run over to the MILLENIUM FORCE. The MF is my BEST but the Line is to long when the POINT opens up.
My advice is to ride Sky Ride, then Giant Wheel, then CP & LE Railroad, and then ride any ride/coaster you feel like.
I've learned that a good time at CP doesn't need a ride on every coaster. When you step through the gates, go on whatever looks fun to you. You can't take everything in when you're rushing to coaster to coaster. Enjoy the atmosphere, play some games, eat a corn dog, and have a fun day.
Find the real reason CP is the best. (hint: the rides are only part of the reason)

That's a very good response Gomez, well said.
And steeldude, don't listen to those telling you not to wait for Dragster because "it'll probably break down"......cause it wont. It'll run just fine. Sure, downtime is a possibility but it'll more than likely be small. Even though I would suggest to hit it or Millennium first, I'm going to suggest listening to Gomez on this part.
