Advice for Halloweekends This Saturday

My wife, brother, and I are traveling to Sandusky this weekend for Halloweekends. I have a couple of questions:

1) We bought regular admission tickets at Meijer. Will these suffice for Halloweekends admission as well?? I want to make sure I didn't need to purchase a "special" ticket for Halloweekends.

2) I'm thinking about buying fast lane online for Saturday. What is the procedure for receiving your wristband after buying fast lane online? Do they give it to you at the gate?

I would also be interested to know if anyone else has used Fast Lane on a Saturday at Halloweekends. What was your experience and was it worth it?

I'm hoping the thunderstorms will stay away this weekend! This will be my wife's first time at CP and I would like to give her the full experience. Is anyone else planning on going Saturday?

1 - Yes. That ticket will suffice.

2 - Not sure the complete procedure, but my best guess would be to take your receipt from the online purchase to the Fast Lane booth.

I have friends that went last Saturday - used Fast Pass and waited less than 10min for the rides; where as the normal line for MF/TTD/GK were 2hrs or more.

If you can afford it, Fast Pass is worth it for Halloweekends!

I have yet to use Fast Pass for Halloweekends, but it was definitely worth it each time I have bought it. I will be there Saturday as well and will be getting Fast Pass (as long as the weather cooperates) but we're going to wait until we get to the park to be sure.

Thanks for the advice so far. We thought about waiting too, but wasn't sure how to gauge it. I thought we may save the tax if we bought them online.

On the other hand, I'm trying to keep an eye on the forecast before I shell out the money for them. Still interested in everyone's responses. Thanks again.

If you buy them online, there is a processing fee, which will cost you about the same as tax. The only problem with not buying them online is if it is crowded, like HW Saturday's usually are, they could sell out.

Yes, you take the online voucher sheet to the fast lane booth. I believe the main gate one is the only that will take it.

If you are getting there early enough, and can avoid a sell-out (which won't happen for a couple hours even on the busiest days likely), I don't recommend buying them online because then you risk being out the money if you don't end up going, get sick, etc.

What time does the parking lot open on Friday nights? A lot of us want to go and chill on the beach for a few hours before the park opens.

The parking lot is open way, way early. I've gotten there for camper village check in at 11AM and had no problem getting past the toll booth.

We ended up buying them online. Can't wait for tomorrow!

I'm only curious, what was your thought process in coming to the conclusion that you did?
