advice for halloweekend CP/GL trip?

ill be making a trip to CP on a weekend in october, ill have all day there both saturday + sunday, but no time at all on the friday. i was thinking about trying to get over to GL for a bit too during the weekend, my question is what time would be the smartest? saturday afternoon or evening? sunday afternoon or evening? ive only been to GL once, and just for a couple hours, but i liked it and would definitely like to make it back... basically i want to get the most possible out of the two days, any suggestions?

I would suggest doing GL first thing on Saturday. Nighttimes during Halloweekends are not to be missed. And since the park closes at 8 on Sunday, with neither Frightzone being open you would be better off doing GL Saturday morning/early afternoon, and then coming back to CP in time for some good night rides.

Its nice because its dark at 6 and the park is open till 12. Prime chance for some GREAT night rides.

Remember that Geauga Lake will have fright zones and haunted houses this year too though, and GL is likely to be less crowded than Cedar Point, especially on a Saturday. I guess you will have to choose which you want to experience, but if you are going to do Cedar Point on Saturday make sure to do the haunted houses as soon as they open before the lines get long. I would wait to do the Fright Zone and Carnevil until the last hour or so before closing after people start to clear out as they can be very busy in the early evening (7:30-10:00 or so) and doing them when they are only 1 way is not fun at all, WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE.

So if you are going to do Cedar Point on Saturday, hit the haunted houses early, the fright zones late, and try to stay away from the bay side of the park and frontier town between 7:30 and 10:00 when it will likely be the busiest.

About the only thing that you will not have a choice but to wait a while for is Werewolf Canyon, which had some pretty long lines last year.
