(ACE) funny

I just got done watching american idol and a guy by the name of Paul Stafford auditioned and they asked "What is interesting about you?" He says "I am a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts". I just thought it was cute thats all.

Yeah, I missed that part of Idol, but my mom told me about it.

american idol is one of the worst shows ever..

I can tell people I enjoy riding rollercoasters... and they believe me. For free.

I don't need to spend $50 annually for a card that proves it.

But clearly, having that card puts you a step above the rest.

Having one of those jackets helps too.

^^ - actually, looking at a lot of the ACE convention pictures, I'd say that card puts them about 5 steps behind.

5 steps behind in everything but the food line. ACE is usually at the head of the class if food is around.

Yeah I saw that guy too. He was not a good singer either.

I saw him as well Ivy. Poor guy...couldn't sing at all. I was cringing when he said he was with ACE. I'm glad they (Simon mostly, of course) are being kinder this year so far. No reason to humiliate people.

^^ I watch American Idol, but not because I'm in the mom category (which I am). As a singer myself, I love to see undiscovered talent getting a chance to break through the music industry. Alas, too late for me. I'm slightly beyond the cut off. ;)

Wow, you knew it was only a matter of a time before some member of our community became Simon fodder. Wasn't aware Simon went down on everybody. There's a reason to audition, ladies!

Have any of y'all seen the video of the British version of American Idol (British Idol?) where the dumpy looking guy with bad teeth unloaded an opera aria on them? It was unbelievable. His name was Paul Pott or something like that. I'm sure it's on youtube but my work's Big Brother had youtube blocked so I can't search for it at this time.

I think I remember it being one of youtubes links off that video above, but I didn't watch it. And to be honest, this one wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. He's definitely not a singer, but he was enthusiastic and at least had the guts to get out there and try.
