AAA offers discounted tickets for sale at their office in Sandusky, but the park itself does not sell discounted tickets to AAA members (unless the policy has changed from last year). I don't know anything about opening early, but if you're interested, you can check the Cedar Point web site's seasonal calendar for any special closed events the park may be hosting that you are eligible to attend.

You can get cheap tickets to any park from any AAA office.

I'm planning to use Ride & Slide tickets for my "bring a friend to the park" days---my wife won't ride the Really Big Coasters, and my kids are still too short. That way, I can treat different friends to trips over the course of the season without breaking the bank.
Here's a related question. The rules for Ride & Slide tickets (described here) allow you to use Soak City tickets for Cedar Point entry with an extra fee. If I'm reading that right, that means that with one Ride & Slide ticket I can take four different friends (on four different days) for a total of $100. (This is a bit pessimistic, since the full price of a Ride & Slide is $64, and AAA will probably have them for a few dollars less.) Has anyone used them this way?
