Accidents at CP?

last year 2002 june somthing was my 2nd time being at the park i am in a wheelchair well anyways i was getting on the water ride with the round boats? white water rapids i think its called anyways i couldnt get on it the normal way because of the revolving platform so i had to go through the back way well i got out of my wheelchair to get into the boat and the guy had a long pole with a hook on it and pulled the boat into my foot! which crushed my toe severely i had to have my toe cut off because of this i dont blame the park for this and i dont honestly feel the guy pulled the boat into me it was just one of those freak type things that happened but im over it and i still love cedar point up untill going to cedar point i'd never really ridden any "real" coasters i have been to michigan adventure but the only thing they got going for them is shivering timbers and dont get me wrong thats a great coaster but its not anything like the coasters at cedar point! what a thrill!

This thread gives me an opportunity (sort of) to ask a question I've been curious about. How much do most lift chains weigh? Isn't like 7 tons or something like that?

The magnum lift chain did break didn't it?

Yes, the Magnum chain did break one year,1999 I think. It was replace in two days.
