CNN was just talking about it on TV.

They stated that Six Flags and Cedar Fair has shut down 8 similar rides. Which should include Power Tower.

Power Tower was running the drop side as of this morning. It is a different manufacturer and different ride configuration, so I don't know if it will be closed.

Power Tower is still open. It is not a similar ride in any way.

There is better discussion at Coasterbuzz.

Power Tower was Built by S&S Power so it will not be affected.

Well, the news stated that Cedar Fair too will be closing the rides. Does that include "Drop Zones" in the Paramount parks only?

Yes, those are the ones that are being closed because they are the same manufacturer and model as the one at KK.

That's insane! I'm glad Power Towers not affected. Keeps CP out of the news.

I love seeing the false information givin by the news,

According to this one Kings Island is owned by Six Flags.
