about the que line wall...

i've noticed a few threads still asking about about why this large wall was put up. the main reason: NOISE!!!!!

next time your there notice the 2 JUMBO speaker bins they have right next to the wall reflecting sound to the ride area... now if there was no wall think about how friggin loud that would be in the que line...

If the park were that concerned about people's hearing, they would never have installed Mantis:TCFKAB.

The wall is there to hide the queue. Go stand at the top of the grandstand sometime and notice that 5'8" above the top seat, the top of the wall obscures everything back to the top of the farthest queue handrail.

I think you're both right. I thought it was the sound at first but then I relized that the wall extends much further than needed to stop the sound. So I think it is both to hide the line and to quiet the noise of the speakers. Mantis is very loud, I was sitting in the grandstands and because of the noise from Mantis I could barely hear the stuff they say in the line for dragster ("You want speed, how about 120mph...."I can't remember the rest) or the reving of the engine. I also think the speakers in line for MF are very load when you're right next to them.
