About the Auction....

I don't think I have seen this posted, but I have a few questions about the auction. Who from this board made a bid and got to ride? Also, Did anyone know who the top few bidders were and were they coaster enthusiasts or just people wanting to do a good deed?

I was one of the 108 who bid and got a seat in the auction...It was pretty nice the way it all was set up. The top bidders..top 5 in particular was a very wealthy guy (1), and 2-5 were all corporate sponsored bids..Home Depot was one, and Lowes was another from Sandusky as an example..There were people from all over the country there including a guy from New Zealand! So really I had no chance against a companys corporate $$!! However I still got the seat i wanted...Car 5 Seat 1...Gave me the best headache I've ever had!!

We got a Certificate, VIP ride Lanyard, and a continental Breakfast as well a day pass for bidding...See below link for a pic of the auction.

I didn't bid, but thanks to a couple of no-shows, I did ride in the third Red Cross train. Seat 6-2.
