About how much unused land is really left?

Several people including Jeff has stated that CP does not have a space problem. One solution would be to move the parking to the mainland but that is a costly proposition and is unlikely to be done in the near future until CP get desparate. But from what I have heard CP has planty of land left without removing anything or moving theparking lot but how much really is left?
Yea...that be really nice...if CP would move the parking lot to the main land...Make it like Disney World...If they would install a Monorail For trasnportation...and a Boat. That would be REALLY hot, if cedar point would do that. It would be costly though...But They would make So much space.

There is more than enough room in that park...

For instance... 1. Millennium Island could house more than one over sized roller coaster... 2. The beaches have yet to be really explored (minus WT)... 3. Any area in Frontier land... 4. Frontier trail has several nice areas as well..

And is all else fails yes they could build into the parking lot... the most logical one to start w/ would be the Soak City one and just build a two or three level parking garage back there... but I doubt that will happen for a while!

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?"

They should move Soak City into a future resort hotel project or expansion and change it into an indoor water park if CF wants to make it a year round destination
How about a Shivering Timbers type woodie along the beach? Also how much of the beach is used for sunbathing? You may be able to add rides on the beach but what about people who like to sunbathe?
I don't know...but i look on the beaches on the webcams...they look pretty empty to me

If you're going to use the beach, you could always put sometihing next to WT that goes down behind DT and out by the parking lot. That would keep the bathing beach clear.

Just because you can't justify charging $3 for a Pepsi doesn't mean you can't charge $3 for a Pepsi.

There is a lot of room at Cedar Point. You have that room between Gemini and Mean Streak. Plus the parking lot.

Probably not, 1) there's a big honkin hotel in the way, and B) an out-and-back woodie would obstruct the view of the lake (albeit the view from within the park is minimal)

I was thinking of one going from behind WT and past DT or maybe one that is behind DT going along the edge of the parking lot along the lake.
How about a nice Pier to put all of the flats and the Wildcat.
My feeling is that CP has so many old, sub-standard buildings that are in the way of development. The tenants could always relocate. For example:

1. Remove the dorms behind Wildcat and reroute the perimeter road. A huge coaster could fit there.
2. Remove the dorms between Breakers and Corkscrew. Another huge coaster could fit there
3. A lot of you think a coaster could fit between Gemini and Mean Streak...well, if you move Planning and Development it could.
4. What about the buildings across from Peanuts Playground. I could see a nice wooden coaster that starts at the beach/Ocean Motion and goes down to the Corksrew. Plus, Peanuts Playground is another site too.
5. The picnic pavilion behind Demon Drop. Dorney Park put "Talon" in a similar arrangement.
6. For that matter, put in new picnic grounds and utilize that space.
7. The Pirate Ride building area could accomodate at least a Wild Mouse. That area needs some more traffic.

I just named 7 spots, plus Peanuts Playground makes eight, where something very sizable could go...and I haven't even touched bare land or removing rides or parking garages. Nothing lasts forever and some coasters, IMO, will eventually be removed. So future expansion is nothing to worry about.r

Making a parking garage similar to IOA is a good space saving idea.

I also like the idea of moving the old dorms.

If they needed to, CP appears to have a lot of options at their disposal, but they could be very expensive to do.

The park can only be so big before it becomes overkill and non-cost effective.

The best space saving plan...is to Get rid of Campers village and the light house point. So much waisted space...its not even funny
