AAA day Killing Auction by the Redcross...

well IMHO this kind of KILLS the MF auction by the firelands red cross!! Shot them right in the foot IMHO..won't pay so much plus the concept of being one of the 1st to ride will still be valid!!

Whats others opinions on this??

I agree,I considered myself dropping my current bid and just go that day but I don't think I will. I think it will be cool on the 13th being first and all and heck,it's only a few hundred bucks anyway and its for a good cause. Hopefully people will back out,that way I will move up the train :)

Umm... I thought we'd been through this already. No one was really bidding because they thought it was for the "first ride" were they? If I bid on it it'll be because I dig the Red Cross. I'll have a couple dozen rides by then... but that's not the point. The point is it's a good cause.

The first ride is secondary, I don't get a chance to donate much time or money and the Red Cross is in my opinion one of the last honest charitable organizations to donate to. At least you know the money isn't going to some politicians pocket or to some special interest group.

and can you say "TAX DEDUCTION"? sure you can...
if i had the bucks to spare and the day off,(ALL waitresses work Mother's Day, so i'm stuck in Illinois) i'd bid big time. and if it was the MS Society, i'd REALLY bid big time.
