A Trimless Gemini

For the first time ever, I expirienced a completely trimless Gemini today (08/07)

All day both tracks ran with the block brake before the low turn open...however later into the day, the blue side only fully opened up the trim going into the helix.

Wow, what a rush. It actually made me a little dizzy/queasy the first time (but of course I went back for more)

One thing I noticed though is how many people remarked that the "twist hurt" or the "turn was too fast" and no one else seemed to get the enjoyment out of it I did.

Not sure why the park did this during the middle of the afternoon...no chance for rollbacks as the ride had been running all day, and the red side still ran with the trims. But it was great, and yes, the light was on.

Whenever I see that the No Trim light on by the operators, I never pass up a ride...it never disappoints with no trims.

I don't understand why Gemini has a whacked out helix that it rough and irregualr, while CCMR has a perfectly smooth and gradual helix when it is 9 years older.

A trimless Gemini is just as great as a trimless Magnum or trimless Mantis. Gemini is such a great ride, and generally always has the shortlest wait which is always a plus.

I rode Gemini on Friday in the morning, and it seemed pretty regular, but Friday evening at around 9PM we rode the blue train and it didn't have trim breaks on until the helix. I had a lot of air time, more than I ever remember having before, and it made Gemini truly great, was very different then any other time I'd ridden it.
Today both sides had the trim lights off, but they both were running open through the mid-course. Hopefully they found using the mid-course as a trim to be unnecessary so they will leave it off :)

When Gemini runs like this I think it challenges some hypers (I actually like it better than Steel Force). The kick out on B-side from the turn that runs over by the station is one of the most intense moments in the park I feel.

Gemini was trim less Saturday evening 08/10 as well. The front seat of the B side delivered now fewer than 8 distinct and intense instances of airtime. I had to ride a second time to believe it. The A side was running very well, too. Gemini is running as well as it did on my first ride in '78 when it opened, which I am grateful for.
