I will be working at CP this summer and was wondering if Sandusky and CP are covered by Digital PCS phone service...this is just so I can keep in touch with friends back home. Thank you very much.
Northwestern Ohio has Sprint PCS phone coverage
I had mine up there last year and it really depends what part of the park your in. I know around the marina i had a stronger signal but not a great one. In my dorm on point it was fine. But parts throughout the park i would have nothing.
I was around the park with my Sprint PCS phone last month and had a nice strong signal. Heck, someone is even leasing transponder space on the water tower, though I don't know who.

Glad to hear someone added that. Now at least i wont have to worry about a bad signal.
i also had my sprint phone there last year....it worked great..the only time i had trouble was on the chuasee on my way home...i would lose signal there. But a warning phones are against the rules while on the job..also pagers...The only reason I was allowed mine was my Father was dying of cancer..And it kept me in close contact with doctors..
Really No phones on the job..thats cool it will keep my bill down hehe THANKS
so does your name mean you are working on Mantis this year? if so, PLEASE read our thread about the stacking and take notes!! LOL!!! :) good luck this year!! i envy you!!! (couldn't apply there this year...family stuff. maybe next year after MF makes me move there for it..hee hee)

Oh in reply jeff...about leasing space on the wawter tower..hell just put a tower on top of MF !!!! Just imagine all the signal then!!!
Is that what those things on the water tower are??? NO ONE seems to know-or be able to tell--best guess to date was to keep the lake birds from nesting!! I like your explaination much better!
The question about stacking was answered in another thread I think in the old CP Place though. You'll definitely learn what stacking is as an employee on a roller coaster, trust me on that one. It's bad, that's all ya need to know. Bad. Stacking = low capacity. Low capacity = upset managers.

Yep... those are wireless phone antennae. You can see them on towers all along the highways. They're even on the high-tension power line towers that cross I-71 near the turnpike. If it's high, you can sell the space!
