This is the first time I've seen this, but scroll down a little bit on the link and read it.

I know Screamscape is the most reliable, but they don't usually post rumors in this manner.

This has already been mentioned here in other threads. It's just the information that is in the 2006 brochure.

Complete details about the new show are coming, probably in the form of a blog entry.

Got a CP Resorts newsletter in the mail today and it said a little bit about the new show, including:

"featuring your favorite music, pyrotechnics, and an incredible new special effect called firewater".

So... what? They are going to give everyone beer before the show? :)

Nah, Vodka. Beer won't combust.

firewater

Hmm. I can imagine a couple of effects---using natural gas pipes to create a burning river effect, or using water screens with projections. The former seems unlikely, though, since I'm not sure there's a big enough section of waterway that isn't too close to an attraction but is visible from a big chunk of midway.

(Now that I think about it, I'm not sure where I'd put the water screens, either---you'd need tiered seating for any sort of a crowd.)

In any event, it sounds intriguing.

"featuring your favorite music, pyrotechnics, and an incredible new special effect called firewater".

This sounds intresting. Wonder what "firewater" means. When will they announce the shows for 2006?

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker

This sounds really cool...I hope it works well for them....maybe i'll get to see it this summer.

It could be that they are re-routing the Cleveland River to pass by Sandusky. That's always good for a little waterfire.

Gomez,

I tried a Google search and this looks to possibly be along the lines of the firewater, from how they described it:

If anyone has actually seen this effect, is this correct?

no lasers? :(

No lasers is right. If CP does take out the laser part of the show, does this also mean they'll take down that monstrosity of a screen?

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Well if they do decide to do so, they already have a head start.... ;)

From work I know that there is a lighting effect known as a water/fire effect done with a specific lighting instrument designed to create such a look, but it's hardly new technology... *** Edited 3/9/2006 4:08:53 AM UTC by DBCP***

I hope they use real effects... something real and tangible is infinitely better than any laser effects.
