This is not a dream I had when I was sleeping, but this is a dream I'd love to see come true someday, hopefully soon.
As some of you know, I'm beyond-obsessed with Cedar Point, as my username says. I've been visiting the park since I was atleast five years old, and living one hour away from it, I had the priveledge to keep returning.
As the years come and gone, I had more experiences. Getting over my fear of the big rides, maturing, and all that.
Then I fell in love with CP, when I started to get to the obsessed level. Once I started driving, I made new history-- driving to CP, like my dad once done with the family.
Ofcourse, I had my friends with me. But I did my family tradition. Eat at McDonalds in the morning before CP, and eat lunch at the car in the afternoon at CP.
Anyways, having a season pass last year was a lot of fun. Well worth it.
But, my dream has not come true. I've still yet have to make an Opening Day appearance, but my real dream?
July 4th.
The park closes at midnight. Ride coasters most of the day, enjoy some of the food, and watch the night show.
Sounds like any other day at CP, except the midnight part, right?
I really want to take a girl up there (a girlfriend, once I find one). I have always imagined myself getting up early for this small drive up to CP, taking the bridge over Sandusky Bay (I admire this bridge big time), me and her side-by-side all day long at CP, and to end it nicely at the night time show. Cuddle, kiss, underneath the fireworks...
It sounds silly.
Perhapts embarassing for myself to admit such a thing.
But what about you other guys.. anything..?
[PS. Since I'm actually working this year at CP, that just made it much more harder for it to come true this year].
That's okay.

Aww that is a really cute idea! I went to Cedar Point last year with my boyfriend on July 4th, and we had a great time. He is my favorite person to go with, and there is nothing like riding the rides with the one you love. Cedar Point is our favorite place to go together, and I don't know any girl that wouldn't have fun going on a date there. Hope it works out :)
Haha, I'm trying to not sound like an ass, but this is the most "open" thread I've ever seen here at Pointbuzz.
But, good luck; to... both of you? :)
hey, there's every possibility you'll meet someone at the park. I suggest both trying to work an opening shift on the 4th as my boyfriend and I did one year when i worked at the park. That way when you're done with your shift you can go camp out on the beach for the fireworks

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
Keep eating at McDonald's for breakfast, and you won't be able to ride anything.
Ordinarily, I'd probably rag on you endlessly for starting a thread like this, but since you included a girl in the dream, I will refrain and say you're on the right path. (Could've been a boy too, I'm not one to judge.)

On Saturday I saw a man propose in the unload platform on MF right after they got off the ride.
If you want a really good spot, go check out the pier at Lighthouse Point. At sunset it looks amazing; you can see Meanstreak and Millennium Force perfectly, along with the cabins. I've got a few pictures around somewhere.
However, I was just out there the other night and it was filled with bugs, and the sun had already gone down so you really couldn't see very much.

Hey man, can't say you're alone in your dream. I have always envisioned something similar to what you speak of too, although not nearly as planned out.
I guess there isn't much I can say. Good luck in fulfilling your dream, whatever that truly may be.

Hahaha!!! Wow, I had almost forgoten about that little bit of "wisdom" from Mike. Thank you Jeff for giving me something to laugh about, both with the McDs comment, and the Mike one. Priceless ones, those. :)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
July 4th is the busiest weekend of the year.
You'll be lucky to get on, like, 3 coasters in the 14 hours that it's open.
But that just means more waiting in line time for you and your babe, right? ;)

I am pretty open, so it's not really much of a bother to admit such a thing. Haha.
Jeff, nice McDonalds joke. Funny thing is, I worked there for a year and a half, when I had left, I was a manager.
Mike from TPOL is an ass. (sorry if this offends anyone), but yes. Me and him are like oil and water, and what he knows isn't anything.
