A question on opening day

I am thinking about going this Sunday. The drive is around 4 1/2 hours. Have been to CP several times, but never on opening day. It will also be my 40th birthday on Sunday. Thought I would make it an interesting birthday.

If I go, I would want to ride TTD, but not sure if I want to wait in a long line. Not sure if schedule will allow another trip up there this year.

How early can one get there? Normally stay at a CP property, but not an option. Would appreciate any feedback on getting the TTD wait kept at the least amount of time for myself and my wife.

Thank you.

Well seeing as how the ride hasn't had a public day of operation, no one really knows. Anything could happen. There isn't much point in getting to the gate at 8 o'clock because you just end up waiting in line at the gate instead of for the ride, you know?

My suggestion is get there when the gates open and get a Freeway stamp.

I appreciate the information. I must admit to ignorance with respect to the Freeway stamp. I humbly request forgiveness. After having taken a 10 parks/7 day family vacation in the past, ridden hundreds of coasters, dozens of parks, I do at times just not keep-up with things. Work, family, life, tend to get in the way.

Would that be getting there at 9 AM? And then going where for the Freeway stamp? And what does the Freeway stamp do? I realize that TTD will have hiccups and other possible gremlins. Just part of life. Will have a good time no matter what happens. Just trying to maximize things a bit here.

Thank you.

Freeway stamps have a time on them, like it might say 2-3 which means between 2 and 3 o'clock you can get to the front of the line without waiting. Not sure what time they will start stamping but you will probably be safe arriving at 9. You can get them near the Queue for dragster.

If you get there at 9, go back to the Magnum gate, it's the closest gate to Dragster. Head straight to Dragster, if the line isn't bad, get in it. If it's bad, ride Magnum and get a Freeway stamp for Dragster later on. I believe they start to give out stamps around 11 am.
I am going Sunday, I just wanted to ask this question.I have caught rumor that on Millenium Forces first day they were giving out shirts and such. Is this true? We planned on getting there like 2hours before the gates open, So we can make the run to Dragster. Is it worth it? We are comming from Taylor Michigan. Thanks
