A question about the Millenium Force

I'm going to Cedar Point in just about a week now and the last time i was there was in '99 so i will be a first time rider! My question is about the Millenium Force and it's restraints. I know it has a lap bar restraint just like the TTD but is there anything at all on the ride to hold on to?!? !? I know many like to hold there arms up but the first time on this 300 ft drop I might want to hold on to something. If I remember correctly the Magnum had something hold onto but i might be wrong
There is a small bar on the lapbar itself, along with one on the back of the headrests. If you get into the front of a car, there is a small bar to hold on to. . . I'll try to dig up a pic :) My personal suggestion is to hold your arms up, the air down the first drop is great. :)

Here is a pic of the bar on the lapbar, but I can't find one of the headrest bar.

I finally remembered to try the hand behind your head technique and it was awesome. Instead of raising your hands all the way just link your fingers behind your head like you are getting arrested. The most comfortable way to ride MF.

Arms up is fun, and that's the way I usually do it, but the most intense way that I have found is to simply lay your hands in your lap, and relax all of your muscles. You really feel the g's alot more than when your arms are tensed up over your head. It is also a good way to ride TTD or WT, because the launch g's are really good :)

I think I might've held on once...The ride's better with your hands up, especially in the front or back.

Posts with poor execution of sarcasm are a growing trend around here...

...but you can always count on that reply full of poor spelling and grammar to come soon after.

yeah...forget about holding on you will have your hands up the whole ride.
No sarcasm intended.... I was merely trying to be funny. I guess I should just stick to engineering.

I could have jumped on that poor spelling idea... but I figure one crack at a joke is enough

I don't hold my hands up and I don't hold on to the restraints, just like Wicked Twister, I think it feels great to let your body go limp. It just gets thrown all around.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!
