I have a digestion issue which does not allow me the pleasure of consuming fatty or fried foods. Are there any food places in the park that offer any non fried ,lean and not spicy food?
I could not find any and had to eat in Sandusky.I always used to enjoy eating at the park,so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Try Famous Daves, Fridays, or any of the other "sit down" restaurants in the park. They will all have some options for you. Also, take a look at the new Subway in the park. Certainly you should be able to find something there.

Save some money, pack a cooler with some turkey sandwiches, fruit, whatever and eat lunch on the beach. My favorite spot to picnic at CP is to park by Gemini and sit in that little grass space between Gemini and Rip Cord.
Best advice I can give is to pack your own food and park in the Soak City lot so you can get to the car easily and tailgate. Not only will you save a ton of $$ but then you can have whatever healthy food you want.
Subway or TGI Fridays.
I have a post in Trip Planning containing pictures of a good majority of CP dining spots in the park, and some outside the park (including prices).

Before stopping at Subway though, make sure you stop at the new Rock Financial booth next to it and take out a second mortgage. You'll need it just to buy the sandwich.

He asked for options - he didn't specify that he didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. :)

CP Subway is the only place I know of (for standard "fast" food) - that it will cost you more to fill your stomach, than it does to fill your tank. :-D
He needs to buy options that have a nice return rate to afford Subway.
You could also consider Tomo the Japanese hibachi restaurant.
$5 dollar footlongs are more like $10 footlongs at CP's Subway.
Seriously though, save yourself some money and picnic at the car in the SC lot, like realmadird said, the grassy spot beside Gemini is a good place and it provides some shade. The car doesn't get so hot and you can sit on the grass. I like to save money and eat something half way nutrtitous, it also gets you out of the park and into some relatviely quiet time for a little while. Besides, by the time you wait for your food, for which you'll have to sell a kidney to afford, you'd be able to be to your car and back. Maybe twice. And you can keep your kidney.
I suppose that's true, but then again so is about 75% of the park's food. Save for a few classics....like fries and cheese on a stick....
It's cheese on a stick dipped in corn dog batter and deep fried. In other words, just like a corn dog with cheese substituting for the hot dog.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

At least he'll have a heads up. I couldn't believe the outrageous prices they were charging at the Subway. $4 for a small bag of apples that usually costs $1.50, $6 more to make your sandwich into a meal?
Famous Dave's does. I think Friday's does as well. I think that's it. Midway Market may bash some with a pan and call it mashed.

Midway Market is the only place inside the park that I know that has mashed potatoes. Although I think they may be instant.
